On a forum. We as people actually read with emotion and that’s proven. So capitals, and punctuation is VERY important in forum talk. And that’s me eating my own words from when I first joined.
In a written environment you're judged by how you write & communicate in print. A decent portion of that is structural, the rest is content. When I came to RIU I was surprised at how really relaxed people were about such things, but this is about 10x beyond that.
No one, whether they're following along on a computer screen or a phone screen wants a block of text without line breaks, punctuation, capitalization, etc., and throw in text-speak and willful disregard of actual spelling and here we are.
Follow that with a good bit of self-righteous 'this is how you do it......i have the secrets......ignore what others say.......' and it just becomes obnoxious.
