First Journal - THC Bomb (Bomb Seeds)

Hello Roll it UP! This is gonna be my 5th solo grow and by all means I am no master or dr. green thumb.. but I feel comfortable enough to finally share with other growers and get constructive criticism.

Mother was planted from seed on 9-23-14. Forgot to take pictures before I took my clones.. was not really planning on starting a journal but figured why not!
I run all my mothers in Coco and Smart pots. Find it a lot easier to maintain over long periods of time. As well as easier to flush out if any problems do start to show. Also not as fast of growth as I see from my Aero system which allows me to put a few mothers in my tent without it being way overgrown on a monthly basis.

12 THC bomb cuts.. placed into my DIY Aero cloning unit. Normally I run just straight water, but this time around due to a friend having good results with this method, 5 Gallon R/O Water, 5ml House & Garden Root Excel, 25ml Mad Farmer B-1, and 25ml X Nutrients Silica. PH adjusted to 5.9 after 2 hours of running system and Temp @ 20.3 C

Still have not decided if I plan on testing my new 12 bucket aero system or just use my 3x3 ebb&flow tray.. I guess I have 2 weeks to decide! Opinions on that subject HIGHLY encouraged!

Very excited to try the strain.. spent lots of time doing research looking for the right type of plant. Ended up picking THC Bomb from Bomb Seeds and Zensation from Ministry of Cannabis.. the company thru in two free seeds which I ended up doing my first 5 runs with trying different systems and methods. Still have not produced the quality I have been looking for but have learned a great deal from day 1 and couldnt wait to get my two prized mothers started!

Thc Bomb is a vigerous grower: needs some room.

Staying on top of my journal... here are the pics of the cuttings.

Took 12 and have decided that IF I get 100% rooted I will be using my new 5 gallon bucket aero system... only 2nd time using my aero cloner.... but I do have high hopes!

Also here is a pic of my THC Bomb mother after the cuts were taken.. she had a few issues early on but has made a full recovery.

Currently I run tents for each aspect of my grow. Mother tent: 3x3x7 with a 400w MH .. as for transplanting the cuttings I have two options.

My current system: 4x4x8 Tent with a 3x3 simple Flood and Drain system, normally I'll veg under a 400w for two weeks working plants into a SCROG net before switching to a 600w for a week veg / transition as well as flower.

Or I recently purchased a 4x8x8 tent and built a 12 bucket aeroponic system, 35 gallon res with 2300gph pump,each bucket has 6 misters and I am running a Little Giant APCP-500 in my return. I would run 2 600w lights full cycle.

Based on the vigerous growth like I said before I am leaning toward testing the bucket system out, just always like to have a sure thing set in my tray just as a back up plan since I feel that system works with very little effort. And I think I have another 2-3 weeks before I can take more cuts.

So small update... very small at that, been 6 days since clones were taken.... no real changes except the stems have a few purple strips..not sure if this is normal for a aerocloner or if Im lacking a essential nutrient? If anyone has input on that... also no white bumps forming yet... when should I expect roots? Room Temp 72 F w 40% RH. H2O Temp 67-68 F PH consistantly 5.8.

While waiting for those babies to root up.. I have been looking for a few room upgrades. Leaning toward a RO system so I no long have to take runs up to the water machines figure $10 a week I spend there system will pay itself off shortly. If anyone have suggestions or recommendations on which system looking to stay around $150 if possible. System will mostly be used to my Hydro system but also for drinking water..

Pictures coming tomorrow I promise! Today I noticed a few of my clones have brownish marks on them and some of the larger fan leaves are curling @ the tips with semi drooping look. Not really sure what the problem is PH 5.9 Temp 21.0 C PPM 270. Room Temp Day 74 F Night 65-68 F RH 30-40% throughout the day.

On a positive note! I purchased a Stainless Turkey Baster (STB), ordered a 3 CFM Vacuum Pump and Oil Slick pad... and planning to do a side by side comp. between my glass tube and the STB and some popcorn from my White Domina I recently pulled down. I will be using Power x7 butane and using approx 20g thru each tube... have not thrown it on the scale but will be equal amounts. Will be first time purging with a vac which makes me a little gitty going to shoot for a shatter aiming for temps between 90-100 F... probably post in the concentrate section ... surely to get bashed but wth lol

Most of the clones have yellowing and browning just like that.... ( this was the worst of them ) decided to do a water change this morning. PH 5.6 PPM 200 Water Temp 21.5 C.. added only Silica 20ml/8gal and Cal/Mag 20ml/8gal

PLEASE HELP!

On a side note the mother is looking good and I may take another 6-12 clones in the next day or two, preparing them for my Flood/Drain tray setup...since this is my first Aero run would like to have a backup going just to be safe!

Vacuum Pump and Oil Slick shipped today!!!! Hoping to run the White Domina this weekend... fingers crossed for fast shipping! (only coming from city 3 hours away)

Have to give a huge thanks for Thump Easy and Cold$moke, for helping me out with my cloning issue with quick responses.
With that said... drained out my res. did a quick wipe down and clean... filled with TAP and kicked timer onto 24/7.

So plants do look a little bit better after the water change and simple H2o2 mixture.. seems really quick maybe Im just being optimistic!

On a side note, got my Vacuum Pump today! only 2 days shipped. Hit up Home Depot got a few things to put together a mason jar chamber... going to be doing the Glass Extract vs SS Turkey Baster once my Oil Slicks get here! Quick pic of the setup for the run just because Im excited to try it out and attempt some shiznatta! (Shatter thats the Shiznit) lol might be slightly over medicated...
