First Organic Grow... No Till Style!

I'm going to be doing some transplanting today. I will be using 5 gallon fabric pots because I already have them on hand. I think I will be ordering a few more 7 or 10 gallon pots. Most likely 7 gallon pots. 10 gallon fabric pots are very huge for my growing style. The ladies are loving the 1000w vertical hps and are starting to form buds. Skywalker is taller than ever also.

I have a bit of an experiment going using different organic mixes. I took my coots mix and cut it with 50% coco coir. I will be feeding them AN Iguana juice. The other plants are still in the coots mix. With this batch I added alfalfa meal to the original mix along with much better earthworm castings. The flowers are starting to for well. Heck some even have some early frost showing. I took a pic of each strain.

looking great so far. I'll be subbing up to this. can't wait to see how they finish! how are you liking the ease of organics? everything seems very happy. I'm mixing my first soil as soon as some items arrive this week in the mail. I CAN'T WAIT. I thought i was growing organically the past 5 years... boy was I wrong!

I'm loving it! I was able to leave for a few days and not have to worry about flooding or a pump going bad. It also lends you to research or experiment more. At least in my case. It's fun seeing which humus sources or amendments work best. If I have one complaint it will be the speed in the vegging process. It is a bit slower it seems. But the ladies have not been skipping a beat in flower.

surprised you think they were slow. maybe you were anxious ;)
Lol. Now that you mention it you might have a good point there. I'm going to start the other cycle flower in 2 weeks or so. So I will be tracking the growth rate. I have noticed the addition of a better vermicompost and alfalfa meal has helped with growth.

Yes I am very happy with it. I added some alfalfa meal to the mix also. I'm sure you don't have to though. This is the extra things I purchased. The prices will be a bit different. I went off this borrowed list. "The estimated minimal cost of beginning this regime:
- $ 15 Malted barley (2.5 pounds; 4 oz/cup)
- $ 22 Coconut Water Powder (1/2 # = 75 gal @ 1/4 c. per gal.)
- $ 22 200x aloe powder
- $ 26 Fulpower (quart)
- $ 14.20 Agsil (pound)
- $ 13 TM7 (100 gm bag)
- $ 13 Neem/karanja (2.5 # = 5-6 cups)
- $ 14.06 Kelp meal (3# = 6 cups)"

That there is a third generation clone of our coveted Gravy Train i believe, which is a Super Lemon Chernobyl cross between the rare Gravy Pheno and the Lime Diesel pheno.. Verrrrry potent and would have been my top choice for entering into competition but didn't get two zips!
Those are some amazing combinations you have going on there. How many seeds did you go through to find the one you liked?

Here are the pictures as promised. It's been said time and time again. Please mulch! Lol It improves the soil life very much and the worms love it. I still feel as if the 10 gallon fabric pots are a bit large but I'm also seeing the 5 gallons are not big enough. Most certainly when you're running a 1000w vertical style. For some strange reason my plants in the veg system are not branching out much. Never really had this problem before. I am going to run the MH with no hood and see if that helps. Anybody had this problem before?

38 seeds to find the gravy pheno hombre
Then crossed that with a SLCh lime diesel pheno..Very potent erb mon
Like knock you out if smokin a fatty!
Happened four times my first month, drool and all.

And I've been somewhere where they shut down a restaurant and made soooo much extracts it had ppl puking green out of cars later that night and I somehow remained standing and all g.
So you know, I can kinda hold it Down but this gravy is like woah
Then you wake up confused.

Nice tall beasts flowering there dawg..

As for your branching out prob, maybe try some lst.
Auxins that signal growth spurts get released when the top node is brought to a lower level than neighbouring nodes!
