Hey man looking good, I see you got some copper for the slugs. What's all the powder? Reps +
thanks man

the white powder is dermitacious earth... basically silicon dioxide it cuts up bugs basicaly. Its good for keeping bugs outta your soil if you mix it in and helps with slugs if you make a barrier, but you gotta reapply it after rain and sometimes it'll cause some white powder mold on the soil. THe best slug remedy i have found is iron phosphate slug bate applied weekly. I have had some serious slug issuesand thats the only thing that seems to really kill em off.

Yeah I bet slugs are a problem it looks kind of swampy where you are. They look healthy except for the bug damage. Have you tried using Neem oil on them? There looks like some grasshopper or leafhopper action going on. Good luck with 'em.

lol yea been using just about everything... DE on the leaves, neem oil, incesticidal soaps, azamax, and spinosad, not all at once of course. I've also used metaldehyde and iron phosphate slug baits

Im gonna hit them with the azamax and spinosad combo once a week for 3 weeks and see how they do. I already sprayed them with that on the 10th and hit them with neem yesterday.

I've also tried pyrethrum on the surrounding brush areas. I'm thinking about hitting the plants with pyrethrum or seven dust, but i do not want to keep beneficial insects away.

It sounds like you've got a good fight on your hands. I guess you have the BT, Kills A Variety Of Caterpillars & Worms also huh? Just hope the swamp rabbits stay away but some blood meal could help you there. Gotta love the great outdoors.

I am fucking fed up with this shit. I went out today and all 2 of the 4 plants were eaten up halfway up to the stem once again. On top of that some fucking animal (i think i saw a racoon track before i stepped on it) dug up one of my plants out of the pot and knocked it over. Once i start to make progress i am back where i was.
I moved them to different locations, within a couple hundred yards but in areas that are very dry out of the swamp, though they are all within 50 yards of a lake. One is about 15 feet from a huge hole going into the ground.

lol i was fuckin pissed but im not gonna go out and shoot every critter, that is if my plants are not bothered since i moved them

A rabbit dug up a different bucket and ate the top 3rd of the roots last night. The first plant that was dug up so it was completely outside teh container is actually doing OK, just flimsy... it could get worse though its only been 2 days.

I'm going rabbit hunting in the morning.

I transplanted the big guy to the bag two days ago and all of them split 2 gallons of worm casting/bat guano tea along with a spray of spinosad/azimax yesterday.

I got cages up on all of them but only have pics of 3 of them. They're not staked in the ground yet, so im hopin some little fucker doesnt knock the cages over

Can anyone tell the sex? Looks to me like the first two are female, but i could be wrong..

I hate rabbits. This morning I got within about 6 inches of one with my flashlight right on it. I was crouching down to grab it and it ran when my hand was just a few inches away.

im having similar problems to you.... i find that the raccons/rabits like to dig in fresh dirt. So you are more likely to get activity once you move the dirt/change whats in it.... they just think there is food under the soil your mj happens to be in (blood meal attracks them)... and slugs well shit they just suck.. I too have found the bait is the best thing for them.. but you have to keep re-applying it the whole grow... BASTARDS

mine are in the ground though, your lucky enough to have them in pots/bags... do you intend on planting them in the ground at any point, or just keeping them in pots, if your keeping them in something you can deffinatly use salts around them just make sure the pots/bags are off the ground (2X4's or something) so the salt dosn't leach in.. but the sluggs will hate it... you can even use road salt, it will just kill all the nature around your grow and may not be a good idea with the lake that close... just something to think about.

Im not going to put them in the ground, just not practical at this point. That one grow bag is 30 gallons though lol. I've got another one too. Once i can tell sex I am going to probably transplant all the females to 30 gal grow bags like that one. I've got holes in the ground filled with a 1:1 mix of perlite, vermiculite, composted cow manure, peat, and topsoil that have been sitting for over 3 months. Just can't put the plants there anymore.

The plant in the last pic REALLY took off since i fimmed last night, that on top of the transplant a few days ago

Well this morning hit all of them with azamax and spinosad and i filled up my 2nd 30 gallon grow bag with the soil in the holes and transplanted the plant next to my biggest plant currently in the 30 gallon camo grow bag... then i went shopping:mrgreen: I figure as much damn money as i've spent (prolly around 700 now), another 100 to have a container that is close to as good if not better than planting in the ground would be more than worth it, expecially outdoors.

I got 2 more 30 gallon grow bags, age old bloom, a bale of promix, fulvic acid, and molasses.

I've got 3 gallons of tea being aerated by an aquarium air pump that consists of 30ml molasses, 22.5ml age old bloom, ~1 cup earthworm castings, 1ml superthrive, and 45ml fulvic acid  I also got some tent stakes to hold down those damn cages.

And thinking about it, I'm pretty sure the reason my plants got dug up was those damn fish fertlizers... they STUNK.

Im going to add the ammendments to the soil tomorrow, split the tea between the two bags, and transplant my 2 best plants in buckets to the new grow bags. Right now they are just filled with promix bx and probably 25% perlite.
Im probably going to add 2 cups 1-0-2 kelp meal, 1 cup 10-2-1 bat guano, and possibly some cow manure compost (or i might just make tea with it).

I'll try to get some updated pics tomorrow after the transplant.

I've also had very bad poison ivy or sumac or something all over my body the past few days which SUCKS BALLS.

Probably a lot of chiggars in there too. I always spray myself down with Off or Deet before heading out. It helps but if it's poison ivy long sleeves might help. I hear ya on the fish, I tried some of that alaskan fish fert and boy oh boy that crap stinks BAD! Every raccoon, dog, or hog would have to dig there.
I wondered if you were having any trouble with those tall cages. You must be in a pretty secure area to even use them but beats losing everything to the bunnies. I'd take them off after the stalks harden up though. You don't want some ripper to see them.

The big girl is doing amazing, loves the compost tea. I am going to cry if she turns out to be a he. Can anyone tell?

The 1st and 2nd plants are the last 2 plants in my previous post. I took a ton of pics but my camera fucked them up so i dont got them ill get them later... plants are doing AMAZING. I think the ones in promix have a mag deficiency though.

I know the biggest one (no pic in this post) as well as the one next to it (also no pic) are females. The 2nd plant in this post is a female and i think the last one is too. I am unsure of the first.

They got some age old bloom last week as well as about 4 gallons of mushroom and organic compost to top off the bags 2 days ago... im headed out to get some RO water and ill get the rest of the picsthen too. Hopefully my Blue Mountain Organic nutes/tonic come in today
