First plant I’ve ever grown

Day two
Day three
And two from just now which would be day 6

I noticed the two “seed” leaves turning yellow so I flushed thinking I possible burned with too strong of nutrients but I flushed her pretty good days ago and seems to be growing pretty strong daily and also has a new set of leaves about to come. Day 6 and only this one had sprouted above coco. The other 14 haven’t popped up yet. Weird but yesterday I dug the seeds up and felt like the coco was packed too tight, is that why they didn’t grow yet ? Lol. I also put them closer to the surface. The roots didn’t grow too much but they all did have about 1/8” tail root. Also my perlite started turning green 3 days ago. Is that from overwatering ? That was my guess so I haven’t watered them in 3 days, also I put a little bit of dry coco on the surface to possibly dry the rest up a little ? Lol idk trial n error and that’s why I’m asking this site now. Thanks

The green is definitely from overwatering. Don't let coco get too dry though. You could water them with a spray bottle, or by the weight.

Why start with coco if this is your first ever plant.... Soil is where it's at. And organic dry amendments. Look it up if you're interested. Soil.

But for a complete noobie to growing, wouldn't coco just cause problems?
I don't know, most of the help threads I read are pre-fertilized soil issues. I think cannabis is hard to grow in any medium if you don't study like you're trying to pass the bar before going in. It looks like you've been growing longer than me, so I respect your opinion. I started with coco and had a very successful first harvest. As far as the noob factor goes, I like how you can flush and reset coco if it gets away from you. But it definitely has it own set of problems.

Never tried coco myself. I always assumed it just added extra complexity to the equation. I've always gone soil and never had issues with nutes or ph. I cant get away from it at this point :). I like the idea of having a micro universe of organisms and the roots interacting with said organisms.

I like that too, to be honest. I love all aspects of growing. I'm glad there's such diversity.
