First plant (pics and questions)

So I planted my first seed about 11 days ago and i have a few questions and want to know if i am doing anything wrong or could improve on anything.

That is my grow room (for now), its 1 x 1.5 x 2 feet. All 4 sides + top are covered with aluminum foil (shiny side). I have 3 fluorescent 11w 600 lumen bulbs (2 above 1 on the side) and a fan that I glued onto 1 side of my grow room.

Top view.

Is the stem looking good? the 2 baby petals are about 8cm above the soil.

Close up.

Do the leaves look too yellow in the centre or too dark on the edges?
If so how do i fix this.

Even closer close up.

Also I've been reading on these forums for about a month now and have learned a lot, thanks a bunch.

Nice pretty baby. Looking very good. Whats the temps like? If you can afford it I would buy some mylar film and ditch the tin foil. Nice close up pic, look at all those hairs :D how many megapixle camera is that? dayum

temperature is mostly above room temp but cooler during the night.

I took the pix with a nikon coolpix L2 6.0 mp, i also used the macro focus setting

it's looking good. you're ahead of my grow, i'm only on my 4th day, but there's something wrong w/ those leaves. did yours grow those two leaves quickly? i don't want to get too worried seeing how it hasn't even been a week but just curious.

also, how often are you running your fan?

which leaves? the 2 biggest ones? they grew in about 2-3 days or so

i have the fan on about 8 hours a day just to clean out the air and stuff, i would have it on longer but the low setting is a bit strong and my plant shakes a little bit

I will be adding better/more lighting when i am flowering.

Can you not leave the fan facing a wall, so that you can leave it all day? Or put something in there like a book or something, to deflect a bit of the wind?

Bring that light way down- 2 to 3 inches away from the plant.

And i'd ditch the tin foil- it causes hot spots and can burn your plant. Flat white is the best reflective color for vegging. I used reversed wallpaper in my room.

The more light your plant has while it is vegging, the bigger it will get. The bigger it gets, the bigger your yeild will be in the end. It would be worth your while to get at least a few more lights on there.

Let the fan blow on the plant a little. It will make the plant grow a nice strong stalk!

okay im ditching the aluminum foil, can i use white glossy tape?

im going to cover the fan and puncture little holes in it facing away from the plant.

also i woke up and my plant was at a 45 degree angle but the leaves were directly under one of the lights. would a plant move itself that far (45 degrees) to go uder a light? (the plant is an inch away from 2 bulbs and like 5 inches from the 3rd one)

Plants will move in any direction to get to light, even completely facing the ground!

You can tape up some white printer paper with masking tape to reflect pretty well too.

And definitely let the fan blow on the plants.

From what I've seen, you should have leaves like that in 2-4 days... But I don't actually grow, so I can't really give any first hand advice.

This is my current setup

The fan now looks like this so it isn't blowing on the plant

And this is how i fixed the 45 degree slant the plant was on

Since these pictures were taken ive removed the aluminum foil and put up white blank paper.

Im still in my 18/6 cycle but today i was too stoned to walk home and turn the lights off so the cycle was more like 22.5/1.5.

how bad is this? i know keeping the lights on for the first month is okay but the plant has never had more than 18 hours of light a day.

Don't worry about it. Be more concerned when you're in the flowering cycle. That's when "X" amount of hours really count.

lower the light about an inch away from plant and keep the fan hittin it,enough to blow the heat away and to keep the plant swaying, building the stalk up nice and strong!!!......you know better yet, repot plant and bury up to first set of leaves.......gl,ras

very beautiful plant, but WAY too stretched. get the light closer, and right above the plant.

I dont know soil, but Rascalone's advice sounds ... sound.

you look like you've made a lot of effort to get where are at so far, now just make some adjustments and you'll be styling.
