First Plant

Howdy everyone! I started growing my first plant recently in an indoor box I adapted from a tutorial on the site. The only concern I've had about the environment it's growing in is air temperatures - I have it seated about 3" below my CFLs and temps there seem to run about 100F. It seems to be doing alright (it is growing, after all), but as I have absolutely no context for this, and as it doesn't look like any of the seedling pictures I've come across in my reading I am having a hard time gauging it. Here's some pictures - at day 1, 3, 5 and 2 from today (day 7) from sprouting. It's standing about 2 inches tall right now.

It sprouted from a feminized Pineapple Chunk (Barney's Farm) seed. If anyone can point out signs of stress or simply give me assurances that its doing well, that would be fantastic.

Thanks!

I have been suspicious that it doesn't look like Cannabis, and it does bear a striking resemblance to corn now that you bring it up. If that is the case, I have no idea how that could have happened (nor what happened to the seed I planted ).

Welp, I did some more digging and I found the seed I thought germinated, guess it was a dud. Looks like I am indeed growing corn. Time to go ahead and try and germinate the rest of the pack, make up for the last week of nurturing this imposter. Thanks for the keen eye Critical, this could only have gotten more disappointing as time went on.

Yeah this was probably a blessing in disguise, gives me a few days to re-engineer their home. Here's the home now, it came up a lot messier than I had imagined.

I initially had all the lights coming out of 2 power strips at the top, but that was even hotter. I'm gonna mount the lights properly in the meantime, maybe move some on to the sides too.
Ventilation is through the filter in the back. What do you guys reckon for reducing heat? Just putting them further from the lights? (Air temp is down to 85 12" under the lights) Maybe fewer than 12 23W CFLs will work for the 2'x2'x4' box? Reflectors? Fans inside the box? Or perhaps I need a stronger fan pulling exhaust?

Hehe, I got a 50ft roll of training wire for some LST, might as well put it to use eh? See how bushy I can make the corn.

cfls aren't hot :) I had actual 200w cfl and a little fan directly at them made whatever heat they produced dissipate pretty fast
