First Post, Need help building my future room! $5000 budget.

Hey guys!

I'm in need of your wisdom! If you had $5000 to build your dream system what would you use!? I'm looking for a reliable system that could grow between 80/160 plants. Highest quality is top priority!

Were hoping to confine the grow area to 2 rooms in the basement of a large home.

Is L.E.D Lighting viable? We were thinking of using 4 180w UFO type lights for our flowering room. then possibly 4 600w HPS /w cool tubes for the flowering room.

Seeing as its going to be my first grow not using soil, would you guys recommend for a growing system? The three that peaked my interest were Ebb & Flow, Dutch Bucket, and especially Aeroponics(looking into the AEROFLO 60)

I also want to do a lot of research before this all comes to pass in the summer of next year, any links you have to any books or articles that you found helpful over the years would be greatly appreciated.

I have a lot more questions, but I'll try not to get too ahead of myself.

80-160 plants on 4 600watters? think you could use a bit more research....go small on the first grow be4 you waste 5k$

Try smaller first , like 6 plants and see how much work it is to harvest.

I too had grand designs and huge dreams of fields of bud as far as the eye could see...I settled for a beginner grow of 6 plants, and it's 100x more complicated then all the books and videos can convey. Dream big but start small.

id germinate about twenty seeds make sure you get good genetics and that way you end up with at least 15 or so plants let them get about 2ft or so then flower them

dont wast ur time with l.e.d lighting just get some 600 hps or 1000 hps and do it right. if you have that much money to start with you should be able to get some 1000w lights and a nice hydro system like the ebb $ flow flood system. you need to get your exaust fans and carbon filters and all your nutes and you should still have plenty of money left over. and i agree with everyone that you should only do 10 or less the first grow and see how you like it. Its alot of work trimming and curing im talking days of trimming on just 6 plants that i grow.
