I'm on the (third) day of having the plants actually pop up out of the rockwool cubes. I will post more pics of them but they haven't changed much in a day.

List of equipment that I need to buy (any suggestions are helpful):

- Grow Tent (thinking 4x4x8)
- Digital 600w ballast
- Air cooled light hood
- 600w HPS bulb
- Nutrient pack
- Heater mat for starts
- CO2 configuration (stretch goal)
- Timers
- Axial fan
- Active carbon filter
- PH/TDS/EC tester

The plants will be in either one or two 18 gallon containers, both self contained containing 12 plants (3" pots) or more plants (2" pots) eventually. Both have their own water pumps, air stones, air pumps and own manifolds & sprayers to provide nutes to the root systems.

Sound like a decent plan?

With the plants the way they currently are (barely sprouts), I should just keep feeding them NO NUTES and water with a PH in the range of 5.5-6, correct? I'm just using the pH drops right now...

Wow, no responses. Nobody must care... :)

So far, I've switched from the PC case to:

  • Brand new Hydrohut (1mx1m)
  • Lumatek 600w ballast (120v)
  • 600w HPS bulb of some brand
  • 500cfm inline exhaust fan (on top of tent)
  • 250CFm fan ducted from bulb side of hood to other side of tent (it's own "circuit" so to speak)
  • Opened a screen vent in rear of tent all the way for airflow - tent sides still "collapse" which tells me it's getting PLENTY of flow.
  • AN Micro, Grow & Bloom

Right now, temps hover right around 80 int he daytime, with humidity in the mid 20% to mid 30% range. If I open a window in the room, temps drop about 5-6 degrees, but humidity also completely disappears. I tried the bowl of water trick with paper towels and that made absolutely no change at all.

Do the plants look healthy to you? I fed them for the first time last night with a 20% solution of the AN Micro/Grow/Bloom, but the soil wasn't 100% dry. The leaves curl downwards which makes me think they are overwatered. I'll water them again in 2 or 3 days - should I feed them then too or just distilled tap water?

Still to come:

  • Lots of clones
  • DWC/Bubbleponics configuration (I have all the parts now - and it works, but I transplanted these two survivors into soil.... so I'll butcher these for clones most likely)

Any advice appreciated!

Do you have a small pedestal or oscillating fan blowing on them? I know you have airflow but thats different than direct air contact. A fan blowing gently on the plants themselves keep the air circulating amongst foliage, stop mold and mildew and help the plant develop strong stem and branches.
