Thanks for the reply grasshopper! I think I'm going to just go with the 5 gallon pots and see what happens. I grow in a limited size space, so the 5 gallon pots will fit better than the 7. Also, I veg in 2 gallon pots which leads me to believe that an additional 3 gallons of soil should be fine to carry the plants through flower. Super soil costs $$$ and if I can get away with the 5 gallon pots I'd prefer that.

Simply stated, subcool says to use 7 gal and to resist the urge to feed, and let the fade come on.

however, if it shows severe nute deficiencies it could be a heavy feeder, and therefore he states to top dress with more super soil.

he makes it pretty easy, its just that alot of people then turn around, modify things a lil bit, and then make it confusing because theyre not doing it the way he originally stated.
And thats what I did....left them for a week stalled without any new growth to speak of. In week 3 that is not a good thing. Im just glad I decided to feed them because the grow has been my best yet...props again to the supersoil and subcools methods. My plants continued to fade on the fan leaves even though I fed them a little. They were bananna yellow on harvest day. Nobodys confused here...except mabey after medicating...hehe

Nice set up GH! I just started running the SS last year, and won't look back. I followed sub's instructions, plus some Bud Candy, and Sucanat, instead of molasses, and it is very simple. The taste, and potency are def amped up. I hope all turns out well for you.
All the Best!
