First Time AG. Bagseeds. Pics. HELP! when should i flower?

when the plants are smaller you can just take them out, i was going to use pH'd water in a big bowl, and set the tray on there, let the roots chill in good water while you rinse the AG rez out. the Air Stone will be fine with no pump running from the AG

yea i think its gonna be alright, i called up the guy at the hydro place who sold it to me, he said compared it to somehting about how the same thing happens in a pond when somehting is added, which gives you the foam. he actually said it was kinda like aero ponics, and how the foam was better than bubbles....so long as it wasnt spilling out of the AG.

so maybe everyone should invest in some foam action? i dont know....

hello there, like your post. i too been growing some with the aerogarden. i have the classic, which is different from yours. My pump is a little finicky because of oxidation on the connection on the back of the unit. I have to prop the bowl up a bit in front, or else the pump cuts out on me. I just put a couple of sticks under the front. I made the mistake of letting it sit awhile before I cleaned it out, not a good idea. Oh well, I bought another one for another cabinet and got two grows going now. I'm growing some lowryder 2s and some bag seed plants. I'm gearing up to flower the bag seed plants. I've been bending them over so they don't grow too high. There's a great post on doing this called super cropping, I think. You just bend them and weigh them down a bit. It works amazingly, you should try it.

Your plants are looking great and you're really doing well with the modifications.

OK SO THE FOAM IS GONE. WATER IS CHANGED....

Im in my 6th day of flowering and ive changed my water for the first time. Now that ive got the fresh water in there what dose of nutes should it receive? ive been giving them 2 large Nutes every 2 weeks. i gave them that 1 week ago on saturday, if that matters.....

what should i do now?...?

for now they are sitting in the rez wiht fresh new water and my AIRSTONE!.

i was thinking....2 of the large nutes....? ay ay? if no one awnsers im doing it before i got to bed....

your supposed to add i large tab every 2 weeks, not 2 every two weeks, but you plants dont seem to mind it

Well, I'm not really an expert on the subject of nutes at all, but on my first grow, I used the nutes exactly the way they directed and everything was fine. This time, I've been using some other things, fox farm big bloom and some biotone which is higher in N. My plants have had browning leaves and other issues but I'm not sure exactly why. The issue of nutes is complex and can get very technical. .

what should i do about my tangled roots when removing males?

where should i cut them? willl the left over roots like damage my good roots?

if you can, i'd pull them out, mine got too tangled, so i simply cut the stalk of the plant as low as i could, then taped it closed, so no light will leak into the reservoir

right. ok cool. yea i removed one last night...thats basig what i did, except i cut under the dirt/pod thing...but still theres like a little kinda thick root left tangled in all the other roots. is that OK?
i had no one aroud to help me so i was thinking about time and not shocking/stress the roots/plants. i read that will create hermaphs.

this other one ill give another day or 2...it just sucks casue it was my best seed. or at least it was from the best nugg.

Well, cutting the roots basically will shock the plant to or close to death haha, how much did you cut? dosnt really matter tho since its a male, but you could harvest the pollen, place the plant outside, let him do his thing, and you can get some seeds. Since it was from a good smoke, probably some good genitics. Just a thought, im kinda obsessed with breeding haha, but thanks for the love man, i will be up in action in about a week or so

1 we all can agree WAS a male.... (was son, was.)

1 there was debate over...i said female..others said males.....some said herms
1 wasnt showing any signs....
and finally 1 never really grew but just kinda kept it around.....whatever.

well i checked them tonight and the debated one, nicknamed "mattilda" i think i finally captured an internet worthy picture of it being female. its sooooo tiny but its there. now all this talk about it being a herm, i dont see balls, so i think were good.....but again....you tell me....

i started on jan 4th with 7 bag seeds. 5 were girls.
i started flowering on the 16th of feb.
now the 3rd of april. i think 2 plants are done...2 other could use 2 weeks and 1 more could use possibly more time than that....

LIGHTS: i now have five 150w equiv of the soft white 2700k, 3 smaller(i think 42 watt equiv) 2700k's, and 1 small flowering light. plu the 2 AG lights ive used since the start.

so this what the rooms turned into. i had to extend the hood light by taping 3 drum sticks together and shoving them into the AG base.




This is Q. this was the plant i topped because in the early weeks it was growing fast and was banging into the AG hood. it has since become a monster. its huge. i got the micro scope and the little THC's look like they all have clear tops. i plan to harves tit on wednesday....unless you think other wise.....?






This is Margie. This one is smaller. The THC under the micro looked like they were starting to get their tops.





This is Kick Ass Dood (lady). this ones THC's under the mico looked like Q's. and from what ive read, its got the crystal clear caps and that means its harvest time, RIGHT? so i think i might just harvest this girl on wednesday too...






Matillda. this one looks like it needs the most time to me. its crystals looked like they were in first stage of developement under the scope. a couple of weeks ago it's top leaves started to kinda curl and turn scorched kinda, but i ddint think it was the light. i thought maybe it had somehting to do that i had started crushing the nute tabs and putting them into the water, rather than just drop them in each side (which i had done from the start, like the book said) BUT who knows? all i can say is this plant out of alll of them seemed like it was slowing down. the crystals look diffrent on this one compared to the others. thicker/bigger and whiter but futher inbetween each other. take a look. since flushing the rez and having nothing but just water, it seems like its kicking back into action. which makes me think i over fed it for a couple of weeks there. but this is the one im most concered with, it seems like it could use more than a couple of weeks left. BUT its been getting water only all week. should i re nute it after i harverst the others? keep it goin and harvest in a couple of weeks?

but my question still stands about my nutes and the time left on the others....

besides that.....harvesting.....any tips?

damn man they have come a long way, there lookin great, i dont think the other will be that affected, but i would just wait another week or a lil less then harvest them, take a look here too
