First time bubble hash is green?

High guys!
Am gearing up to try this for my first time. I have frozen trim from my first (and only) two, single-plant grows and a few questions...

1. Does the work area/room need to be colder than normal room temps (72F-76F)?
and I have a transportation problem so...
2. can I use ice from frozen freezer trays? I have several gallons of distilled water but ice is frozen trays of tap water (039ppm)
3. I have this 8 bag all-mesh set with Micron Sizes : 220,190,160,120,90,73,45 and 25. I don't want to run it thru all these bags do I? which ones should i use, as i understand it, the 90 will produce the best?

I do it outside and use bag ice from the store or brake frozen water bottles up for ice, ice cue trey ice works best yes you want to use all the bags each strains trichomes are different size you would have to know the strain to take some bags out like for my strains i only get it in the 120 and 45 micron bag the otheres dont catch Jack but i use them anyway

Id say colder the better so it dosnt melt the ice when your mixing , i use alot of ice because i do it outside in Hawaii and its always 75-85 degrees

oh... i was thinking more of working with the resin, patting dry in particular. I would think it would turn to gooey goop with only fingertip heat.

I press it with my fingers lightly in the bag to get it to become more solid and once its like moon sand that can stick in a ball i put it on a folded up paper towl to dry for a few hours

thanx bro!
have more ice to freeze but will run the first batch and see what comes of it. It's a quart jar full, tightly packed. unsure of weight, 2-3 ounces am guessing.

No problem man ,
I use maybe an oz or oz and a half of popcorn bud and get atleast 5-7 grams of hash sometimes more depending on the strain and the time of harvest

As you know the green is plant matter. There are 2 reasons for this. Mechanical stirring and freezing the material. I've used several different mechanical stirring devices over the yrs. But the best and cleanest end product came from hand stirring. And I've stopped pre-freezing the material. If it's frozen it is more brittle and will break up into smaller pieces, you'll end up with with more plant matter getting through the screens. Just take the weed and put it in the bucket with the icewater making sure it's all under the ice, then walk away for at least 20 min. The un-frozen weed will soften up with the soaking and will not beak into micron pieces. And the setting time will bring the temp down to help release of the resin heads, the same reason used to promote pre-freezing.

I use the 220 bag in my stirring bucket. (3.5 gal bucket 1/4lb of sugar leaf) two to four washes depending on the material then drain through 160, 73, and 45. Amber on the 73 is the keeper smoke. The 45 & 160 catches are combined and make great cookies.

Here's some yr+ aged resin. It's not sticky and can be transformed into butter with a few finger presses. Aging will make a world of difference.

Sure I can explain better. I do my extractions kinda like a washing machine method, but for smaller amounts and it' home made. I use a 3 1/2 gal bucket (same lid size as a standard 5gal bucket just shorter) with a drain hose placed as close to the bottom as possible on the side of the bucket. So instead of stacking all the bags in the one bucket, I only use the 220 bag in the extraction bucket. This is then drained via hose through the collection bags.
Now with the collection bags, I do them different also. I cut the bottom couple of inches off the bucket then pull the bag around the outside of the bucket, I use 3 bags 160, 73, & 45, and I have a cut off 5gal bucket for each one. this stack keeps the screens close to flat and tight it also will keep a few inches between them. At the bottom of the stack is the collection bucket. I do most of my extractions outside on the deck so my collection bucket is again a short 3.5gal with holes drilled through the bottom so it drains through the deck. Below are some photos the 45 micron bag and bucket are not in the photos but I'm sure you'll get the idea.

I use the pump up sprayer to rinse out each screen. Hope this helps

been gathering what i have for making bubble and while i do not have a pump sprayer other than the one i use to feed plants, i do have a regular spray bottle that is clean and will try to make that work or just pour cold water from a cup or something.

need to feed the plant at 8pm and planning to run it after that.

I used a regular spray bottle for many runs before I just got to old and lazy and coughed up the $10 for a new clean sprayer.

I got this style of extraction from reading and following

I hear ya, i don't mind spending the money. its a transportation problem and the person i can trust to take me is busy tonite. it might raise some questions buying what i need in front of just anyone. sprayer, strainer, microplaner, parchment paper, and need some epsom salt...
"whats for dinner?" lol.

now this first run today will be sorta a practice run with about 2-3 ounces (of primarily sugar leaves) which i plan to sell when finished. i don't do it any differently to sell do i? still all 8 bags?
have about twice that much from second grow to run for me another day.

Here's my thoughts on which screens to use.
The absolute best resin heads are the ones that get through the 120 micron and are caught on the 73. Those on the 120 are 2nd best.
220 is the best available for extraction, but I don't see much difference in the product on the 180 or 160, so the 180 isn't needed.
On the bottom end if using the 45 then 90% of what's on the 25 is just dust. If you don't have a 45 or 50 then there is some value of the product on the 25. If you have a 45 then the 25 isn't needed.
Since in the end you will keep everything on the 73 & 120 then the 120 isn't needed. Whats caught on the 45 & 160 are really good in edibles.
