First time cloner seeks advice

Ok here we go. I took these 4 clones off a Masterkush plant six days ago. I read many threads and watched a few videos. I took bottom shaded branches, took off set of leaves, cut to 45 degree angle, dipped in Rootone powder, stuck in rockwool, and placed in this germ/cutting tray. Rockwool was soaked in 6.0 ph water with a drop of superthrive added to the water. Clones placed in closet with 42watt cfl about 6-8 inches above. Temps have been 75-85 degrees. I lift the dome daily and periodically mist plants and dome to keep the humidity high. I did a tug test and they are stuck in the cubes.

How do they look and do you think I will have success? Also would a higher dome be better? If so why?

I think you answered your own question when you said "I did a tug test and they are stuck in the cubes". That means they are growing roots and that you are doing something right. Just make sure not to over water the rockwool cubes. I think personally I wouldn't use the dome but thats just me. I guess it depends on the temps in your grow area. Mine were in the mid to high 80's and they were fine.

Some of the info I read said put water in the tray and let the rockwool wick. I have not added any water as I can still see water in the bottom of the tray in the empty bins

no wicking in cloning. get a spray bottle and spray all sides of the cube when needed. if you let it wick constantly, there will be no air in the cube.

They look ok, so be patient!
I personaly used a dome, sprayed the lid once a day, kept the temps around 80 and now have 2 big female Northern Lights growing outside.
Don't let them sit in water.
Gradually increase the amount of air allowed inside the dome and mist your leaves if they look a little dry.

Agree with above posts. If you let the rockwool wick then you will drown the roots. In my experience after you water the rockwool pick it up and get an idea of weight. Now before watering again the rockwool will still be "damp" but like half the weight insuring that the roots have soaked up most of the water already in the rockwool and alowing air back in the cube and not drowing the roots.

Like the others said don't overwater your rockwool. Your cuttings are a little big it might help to trim of the larger fan leaves and take some smaller cuttings next time. When they have lots of foliage to support it takes them a little longer to root. Good luck bro!
