First time Ever Grow Hydro

Stems look like they are finally thickening up a bit. Some of the leaves have nut burns but I think I fixed that problem. All 7 plants are about 8-9 inches tall, is this normal growth for 3 week old plants? Knowing my luck they are all males, there isn't a odor any where. Oh well, I'm still learning so I won't complain. Let me know what you guys thoughts so far.

Hey I wasn't lying. For 3 weeks they look pretty damn good. Maybe a little too tightly packed together, but honestly I see nothing else to change. Very good job for a first timer! err old timer!

I was thinking the same thing about closeness. I can't even imagine how they will be fighting for light in another 2-3 weeks. I guess I should grow 4 max in that thing. That sucks!!

Thanks guys for the positive reinforcement, couldn't be doing this without you guys!!

Suppose to snow most of the day tomorrow also. Don't have to worry about high temps for a while.:mrgreen:

It can occur when high levels of anthocyanin build up due to stress in the stems and leaf petioles. Incorrect pH, cold, humidity, drought or disease can be one or a culmination of the reasons for that symptoms.

Man I was really hoping you would have said a good strain or something, but yeah, they have seen all of those conditions. This week will probably be there 1st flawless week.Humon error has really been rough on my plants.

Haha yea sorry man. That's how it is though. Quite the learning curve I've quickly realized. Also don't feel bad. I was running temps from 54-98 with massive deficiencies on all levels for awhile and my girls are nearly at harvest and not looking too bad. I wouldn't worry. Especially if you get it all steady before flowering. Just take good notes on what you do and the results you get and your next grow will be much better.

Thank you sir for the kind words. Had to do a flush tonight, started to see a little more burn. How long do you usually flush for? Just received some new beans. THC Bomb, White Widow, and Afghan Kush. Can't wait to get this down so I can grow some good smoke.

Had some nute issues end of week 2 and beginning of week 3, but I think I have them sorted out. My ph has been study around 5.8 and my ppm's are around 500. They were around 800 ppm last week and the plants didn't like it to well. They are all 13 inches to 19 inches tall. I think it is time to put them on 12/12 to see if any of these bag seeds will produce a female. What do you guys think? What do I need to change or add? Any info would be a big help.

They look a bit stretchy indiciating you need a bit more light or it's too far away. What is your canopy dimension and what light are you using at what distance? Hope you got some vertical room, 19" plants get big quick when you flip to 12/12. If you start running out you can suppercrop which is basically mashing the stem a bit and the folding the branch over horizontally. It will right itself within hours and repair itself. Pretty cool to watch actually. Anyways, flip them now if you haven't!

You are right, on this grow I don't have very good vertical control of my 400 watt light so there will be stretching throughout this hole grow. But I do have 3-4 feet left to play with. After this grow I can put the light on a cord for better adjustment. How healthy are they looking? Hope I get 3-4 females out of this.

Just a thought. Could you build something to put under the set up that you could adjust down during the grow if you don't have the chance to drop the lights? Also. Cheers and good luck.
