My first time ever growing.

Hi guys this is my second thread and first time ever growing.

The seeds shown their first tap roots on November 13th and they have been in soil since the 17 of November, I fed with my first stage of General Hydroponics Bloom, grow and micro series on the 27th. Since the 27th I have not watered or fed the plants. I'm wondering if they are due a second feed, If I should just water them or if I should let them be for a few more days. My back two plants have some issues, the bulb touched one of the plants and caused a section of the leaf to go brown and wither and on another plant I have rust spots as well as light burn spots where I let them grow too close to the bulb.

Many suggested on my first thread that I fed too early and to let them sit for a few days which is why I have not watered them, when im putting my finger in about it feels pretty dry but can still feel some moisture in the water.

Just looking for some criticism please so I can improve.

Can you post pics of the issues with the leaves?

i always use CFL bulbs to start my babies, ive never had one show any signs of light burn or spots from touching the bulbs. and i slam my cfls down on top of the plants as close as i can get usually.

Just want to have a look and be sure its not something else going on there.

Yeah sure mate ill take them now, I moved my lights last night so they're a few more inches from the plant the leaves was almost growing into the bulbs, I was very lucky I didn't get burn spots on plant (I think)

Well you got it the day after the first feed? or several days later?

Osmosis takes whatever you feed and pushes it into the roots provided there is more "stuff" in the feed than in the roots. So the plant doesn't pick and chose what it wants from whats available.

  1. What precisely did the feed consist of (mL/gallon of the parts)?
  2. What type of water was used?
  3. What was the PPM?
  4. What was the pH?
  5. Do you water to get 20% runoff to prevent salt buildups?
  6. Do you allow the soil to dry adequately before watering it again?

Seeing as you have only fed once and probably weak feed, I would imaging the plant is simply hungry as it's seed reserves are depleted and the plant is growing at an increasing rate.

  • What precisely did the feed consist of (mL/gallon of the parts)? - used 0.25ml of micro 0.25 ml of grow and 0.125ml of bloom per 1.13ml, I saw a tutorial on youtube suggesting 1ml of micro 1ml of grow and 0.5ml of bloom per gallon and did not have a gallon jug so I quarter it)
  • type of water was used? -regular tap water
  • What was the PPM? - Unsure
  • What was the pH? - Unsure
  • Do you water to get 20% runoff to prevent salt buildups? - Unsure
  • Do you allow the soil to dry adequately before watering it again? - Yes, I have always made sure the soil is dry.

They are both same bulb Ill double check the wattage now, I think its just where I focused while taking the picture

Rep dude you grew some nice seedlings, the low light helped greatly not max them out. From here you need to get some more.

Dont feed just trust your soil and when well rooted just transplant or feed then ehen the ask for it.

If you like cfls then 200/250w ones are real cheap on a plug and play e40 lead :-)

Starving the plant doesn't produce desirable results.

Without knowing pH you are gonna have an uphill battle.
