First time ever

Hello everyone this is McFlaco. *I am a newbie and would like some advice on my current "work in progress". *I do have some specific questions that are at the end. *read and answer if you feel compelled too. *this is my first post EVER relating to my own grow and am in search for ideas and knowledge. *I thank EVERYONE in advance for all the help I have gained from this site.*

current grow
CLOSET *6'x2.5'x9'
1x400w MH w/6" inline exhaust fan*
1x400w HPS*w/6" inline exhaust fan
4x75w 2ft floros

CORNER 5'x4'x8'
6x300w CFLs
4x75w 2ft floros

with air circulation room temp (AVG)
Lights on 76
Lights off 68

Veg * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Bloom
grow big * * * * * * * * * * * * * tiger bloom
hygrozyme * * * * * * * * * * * *hygrozyme
cal-mag * * * * * * * * * * * * * *cal-mag
sweet * * * * * * * * * * * * * * **sweet
** * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * floralicious

B12 and a few drops superthrive when transplanting

I also have some botanicare pure blend pro grow and bloom and supernatural bud blaster. *These were recommended by my local grow shop. *I have not used any of thes because I am on the above VEG schedule.*

I maintain my lights at the proper distance from the canopy. *I use several different LST methods based on strain of plant.*

all from clone from my local CO-OP
4 MAZAR (4ft)
3 XJ13 (3ft)
3 SOUR DIESEL (3.5ft)

my questions are really strain related. *LST methods that I can use to increase yield. *any ideas about increased trichome production with a specific strain. *all knowledge is encouraged*

Seems like you got your shit on lock brother.
Nothing much I can suggest other than do all the right things at all the right times.
As I understand carbohydrates increase the plants ability to increase energy toward reproduction.
This could be molasses or any number of products out there.
People have experimented with so many sweet substances and extracts in their feeding. If your gonna go all organic you cant go wrong on quality or taste by experimenting/researching.
Bigger roots means better overall plant health. This mean using anything from beneficials to enzymes.
LST works to an extent but when it comes down to it, your genetics are what really decide the quality of your plant.

I think people use the terms "maximize yields" and "increase yields" in them same way. You increase a plants yield to it's maximum, once you get to a plants maximum you can't increase it any further.

A plant is capable of only producing so much, given ideal conditions. We TOP, LST, FIM, SUPER CROP, SOG, SCROG, add CO2 (you get the point) to make up from where we are short of ideal. These variables are driven by individual conditions, which are dictated by your specific environment. ANY closet grow is less than ideal. As DUBS said "when it comes down to it, your genetics are what really decide the quality of your plant."

I know it is just semantics but concentrate on increasing your plants ideal conditions and let genetics handle the yield part.

an they said fans leafs won't get you high (well it was trim).

Thanks for the reply DUBS and Bonzi. I forgot to mention that I do use sucanat during flowering. And I totally agree with the fact that you have to maximize the potential of the plant based on your resources. And what is good for me may not be good for you.
