First time fimming help

Just got advice that I didn’t fim enough off so i quickly re trimmed. Do you think this is enough off

That's a bit better, I do it just a tad more, but you'll see the results in a few days. If bottom new growth starts growing then you hit it! Idea is to stunt top growth and induce bottom branching ....looks alot better this time! :bigjoint:
 
Thanks mate. How many times would you fim? Was going to fim and defoliate as my main training was told to fim about 5 times over 6-8 weeks with defoliation to get a lot of main kolas
 
I only need to do it once. Will create more tops, Lst train em to stay short, but youll see and can play with them once they start getting bigger :bigjoint: I love modifying them!

Ok so little back story my last grow was really poor and im still relatively new to growing but i got 12 oz from 7 plants and i topped once tied down and defoliated in week 1 of flower. This time i want to get a much better result, doing 6 and want to aim for 30oz is that possible in dwc with 2x600w hps. Any advice appreciated
 
Going for a 6-8 week dwc veg so hoping they will get nice and big but still only 6 plants so 30-36oz might be hard im not sure as it still works out quite a bit off of 1 gram per what

Cheers for the reply mate! I was going to do it in stages this time in veg and not flower. Thoughts on that and do you think that yield is possible form 6 plants or am i deaming a bit:confused:

I don’t see why not! I just looked and my best for 6 plants was 40oz. That was drain to waste, coco in fabric pots under led.

I was using tomato cages with garden fencing attached to the tops for a scrog/trellis point. I’m sure they were topped and lollipopped but as far as how long I vegged them for I’m not sure. Typically I’d judge on the size of the stalk and overall height when deciding what was going into flower.

Ok mate would you just grow them tall enough to be able to double in height and still have enough room for light? I just tied them down last night to try get the lower shoots up i have quite a lot of room for side to side growth as im putting 6 in a 9x4 room but height is probably only about 2.1 meters
 
i fimmed for first time in my current grow , the 2 that didnt work were cut like thoose in the picks even a bit less , the ones that worked were cutted 50% or more of what is shown

ok mate thanks for the reply, im vegginf for some time so if this doesn’t work I’ll just top them. What other training are you doing if you don’t mind me asking
 
I didnt even train , but my genetics ( og kush - dinafem ) are good for fim , so i have a +- even canopy with just fim
