First time florida guerilla grow needs help

Starting my first outdoor crop, and I'm looking for some advice on what I'm up against out there. i live in the east coast of central florida near marsh lands. so i just wondering what kind of pest, fungi, animal, heat, and water problems im looking at. Got some locations already picked and cleared. Do I need to add fert or better soil to the natural soil? also i have a bunch of ragweed bag seed i was going to try first kinda as an experiment just to make sure they would be fine before i put plant seeds that i ordered. i was thinking just starting one mother at the house, clone her, and throw her babies out after i see how the ragweed does. what ya'll think. also heard something bout a swamp grow might try it. apprecate any advice i can get thanks

i would suggest growing a mother indoors and clone her to nice sized ladies that can take a little beating.

soil is up to you, you oculd dig it out and add your own mix or just deal with the soil there-usually if shits growing and its not a sand pit it should be fine. just fert as you tend your plot.

your biggest problem is going to be MOLD/BUDROT. they sell some preventative sprays but the humidity is a bith esp down there. pick a nice plot with no chance of someone finding, 6hrs min of light, i think morning sun is more imp then afternoon bc it will evap the dew on the plants in the morning so less chance of mold

mix in a good potting soil wit the existing soil - about 50/50. more sun the better. plant in an area that is well drained. mold is an issue here and so far have had it only once - GL

i know that florida soil(sand) stays pretty much well drained, but im wondering since the water tables are so low and the rainy season is so long do plants require weekly watering or should they be ok with what nature has to offer

Depending on your specific location... But I would Def amend the soil, or replace it completely. Make sure to test the native soil if you plan to use it. Around here, the soil is very acidic (North FL). Yes, morning sun is important to dry the buds as early as possible. and it is a good idea to shake the plants after a good rain if you can get out to them. If you know the area stays wet, you may want to think about a raised bed or a large airpot to give the roots some air.

Hey man during this time of year, when there is no rain, you need to water. When it starts raining every day in the near future, you want to make sure there is good drainage in your mix. Our sand is not that bad but where I am, there is clay literally a foot down, and clay is very bad for drainage. Dig a foot or two down and see if you hit any clay. Then plan accordingly. Improvised raised beds (as said) could help. Plant away from pine trees by 20-30 feet.
Avoid dense-bud indicas to combat mold. Find away to keep the deer, coons, armadillos etc. out. Good luck.

Thank you guys for your advice. I'm just about ready to start my 2012 season off. I got 1 - Annapurna Super Auto Fem. 1 - Shot Adrenaline Auto Fem. 2 - Big Bang Auto Fem. and 1 - Sweet Black Angel Fem. also a lot of bag seed. I got 4 locations with 8 different sites for all my different strains. My plan is to keep all the autos together, and put them in one site. Turn the Sweet Black Angel into a mother plant so I can get a bunch of clones from her and put that into another site. Then plant the bag seed in the other sites and locations. This is to ensure that a stray male doesn't some how cross pollinate all my girls that I paid for. better safe then sorry huh. but its go big or go home, and figure the more gardens I got the better my chances of having a successful harvest. I plan to start everything inside for the next couple weeks before I start transporting it out to the jungle. this will give me time to better prepare the sites. Does anybody know anything about the strains I listed above personally. I live in central Florida and am wondering how they'll handle the environment.

alright everyone, so heres the situation. coming up with free space to start this guerilla grow is proving to be harder then i thought. as i do have plenty of wilderness around me but not all of it is suitable to grow cannabis. or at least the amounts i am wanting. so i am still in full scouting mode. Anybody ever grew on cattle land before? I dunno seems risky. i guess now im starting to see y i've always grown inside. lol. too hard to find good locations. Well the seedlings are already going so i guess theres no quiting now. Anybody got any ideas on some good locations that have worked.

try a good sativa, right now i would be growing autoflowers but i have to wait for my seeds. enjoy growing in FL! you barely ever have to water, humidity is high as fuck but my plants still love it. ive been growing organic but look out for spidermites. i suggest growing marigolds around your grow, i spray mine with a bit of canola and garlic foliar spray every week as well. poking holes in your soil also helps out big time, you dont get too much time to let your girls dry out here but this will help speed up the process as well as help new root growth.

what are the little black flies im seeing in my garden? they pop out the soil once i start to water, and are tiny little things. I'm going to try the canola and garlic to see if that works. Also, I'm still trying to search for a good location for my autos as i figure that will be the garden i visit the most.

Cows like weed too! lot of places on the sandpile to grow i would just keep in mind the summer rainy season and high water levels.was hoping to move back to naples area but not sure going to happen now .I'm looking into land in tennessee but still might make the season there yet.got a friend i can stay with real close to everglades

might be gnats, try to let them dry out more or poke holes as i said. canola and garlic have helped me with mites more times than id like to say.

I'm going to try planting in the middle of a palmetto bush. Gonna do some soil tests first, though. If you've never trudged into the middle of a palmetto you might be surprised how much open area there can be in there. Also, there is almost no chance that someone will stumble upon your grow.
