First time grow 1000 watt MH/HPS

So this is my first time growing marijuana. I have been a smoker for 16 years and counting and have researched growing for countless hours now. I have recently started my frist grow, started with 7 plants...3 clones and 4 bag seeds. I started out with 24 100w equivalent CFLs at around 40k lumens in a 3x3 space. 3 bag seeds turned out male (what a bummer). So now I'm at 4 girls. I have recently upgraded to a xtrasun 6" air cooled hood with 1000 watt MH for veg and 1000 watt hps for flower. I have an AC cooling my box so i can keep my lights around 1 foot from the top of the canopy and a blower fan rated at 1500 CFM blowing heat from the AC out of the room. I'm using fox farms nute trio (Grow Big, Big Bloom, and Tiger Bloom) and fox farms ocean forest soil. Plants are blown on 24 ours a day by an oscilating fan. I used white paint in my grow box because i spent all my money on lights and fans i couldn't afford enough mylar. I'm not at week 6 for 1 clone and the bag seed and week 8 for the other 2 clones. Incase you are intrested the strains are Purple Trainwreck, Hollywood OG Kush, White Rhino, and mystery bag seed. the first pic is the rhino, the second is the Purple Trainwreck, the 3rd is the Hollywood and the last is the bag seed. I'll add pics of my grow in a day or 2 when i get new batteries for my camera.

I'm gonna move to flower on Friday, time to see if all my cash and hard work has paid off. I need to get some new pics up, the plants are alot bigger and healthier now that they are under more light. I got tops showing up all over the place.

Ok time for a quick update. I started flowering a few days early, today is flowering day 1. I took a few hours and did a serious LSTing making sure to keep the highest points on the outside of the grow and pull the light starved growth to the center directly under the light. I'm hoping to play catch up and get a slight SoG effect. I've taken pics before LST and after LST that i'll post in a day or 2. For now enjoy some pics from a last week

they look like they are too fuckin hot!! O_O

and since i'm so bored, i'll give you some older pics of these girls, when they were just young little ladies living under 500 actual watts of CFL not rated watts, they had 24 18w CFL bulbs and 2 t5s and 2 t12s

to hot? temps from 72-77 are to hot, at the top of the canopy, no they are all just fine. there is a little dmg to the big leaf girl, aka hollywood og kush, but thats due to the recent FIM

There is no burn dmg, no leafs are curled or sickly other then FIM damage, how do they look to hot? I'm just curious as to what you might see that i might be missing, i know it's not heat but maybe something i missed is out of wack.

Nah it's just a warped piece of wood i had sitting around from outside, it's all supported and such, just all i had to hold the ac up top. The AC ontop is actually hanging off some pretty heavy duty chains, the tops only has the weight of the light on it which is minimal, it's looked that bad since day one 2 months ago lol.

Anyhow i think his heat comment was based on your plant in the orange bucket, pretty wrinkly, but i am pretty sure thats just the way she looks.
A/C and a 1500 cfm fan for a single 1000? I have 2 going with 2 1500 cfm fans (on the same run) staying in the 70s. I think i could help get your temps down without the a/c if you want help.

I had it laying around so i used it, it saved me money so i could get my HPS over CFL for flowering, once i have a little more cash i plan on buying ducting, another blower fan for intake, and poly film plastic. that little box is just a small corner of the final project which will be done in the next 2 weeks. It's a 12x5.5x10 closet that will have a veg room and flower room in it with 2 1000 watt hps for flower and 500 watts of CFL and 600 watts of MH for veg. P.S. that orange pot plant just got fimed and lollipopped. The big leaves were the newest growth below the fim that got a bit damaged from the job. all the new growth on the 4 tops shooting up now is clean, smooth and undamaged.

Once all that is done the AC will be mounted mid way up a wall and only used in the summer if heat is an issue. The closet is in my masterbed room which gets pretty warm in the summer.

yeah i saw it in the pics of your early harvest today, i like having an ac, i can keep my lights closer, like 12 inches with 1000 watt hps close.

Update, Flowering day 3, new tops from the LST are showing up all over. I'm super excited to see what i'm gonna get. Wish me luck and enjoy the new pics of the my girls After LST
