took my first branch off one of the lemon skunks tonight, i couldn't wait any longer, had to trim something!.
this is just one of the branches from the plant with 13 big branches, it isn't even the biggest one. i'm delighted with the results of my first grow.
it came to 40g wet, i hope i get 10g dry. hung it up in my cupboard to dry. still a lot of white hairs but the trics are about where i want them. gonna chop the rest this week, anyone reccommend the 72hr dark period?. i hear a lot of people saying it makes a big difference.
i'll post more pics of the harvest when i take them down.

72hr dark period???? I havent heard of that i think all i know so far is after you start getting amber trics, than cut and to dry in a dark room for about a week depending on your stuff, until branches break by hand. Than cure in jars for you liking

chopped down the 3 cheese plants and one small lemon skunk, it weighed over 1kg wet, how depressing.
gonna leave the big lemon skunk plants for a few more days yet, 72 hour dark period before harvest might be an old wives tale but i'm gonna try n see.
these buds fat and sticky as hell, gonna hang them in my cupboard for a week then cure in glass jars, gonna put some in a cardboard box too for a 2 month cure.
i'm saving all the trimmings to make hash, gonna let it dry then bag it up. when i have done a couple more harvests i will make some bubble with it.
need to scrape the resin from my hands and scissors now

i will do that just for you!, lol. gonna be atleast a week i think, hate quick drying, it leaves that hay smell/taste.
the lemon skunk is one hell of a plant, i would definately reccommend it for growing. it smells like lemon pledge and the buds are rock solid and full of sticky resin. the cheese "smells like god's vagina"
by time the bigger lemon skunks are ready i will have a smoke report, it will be the highest i've been for a long time let me tell you!.

thanks, i'm pretty happy with the results myself.
i cut the lower branches in week 3 of flowering, i just looked at all the buds and they were all pretty equal. everything that was less than half the size got chopped, this was mainly the bottom half of the plant, and only on the two big lemon skunks. they are very close to harvest now, i've had to tie the biggest buds to the light rail for support because they are so top heavy they fall over

i have been really lucky with my first grow, i can only imagine what problems i am gonna run into in the future.
i'm already struggling to deal with thrips. my flowering tent will be empty this weekend and it is pest free as we speak. my veg cab is infested with thrips and they just keep coming back. if i put my plants which have been vegging in to the flowering tent they will be in there as well, i'm a bit pissed really.
can anybody help me in the combat against thrips?

been checking the trics with my 400x scope and i realised that the lemon skunk is nowhere near done. they are all still clear with a few cloudy. i stopped feeding them a week and a half ago so gonna get back on with the nutes. the cheese was done and i'm gonna be smoking some tommorrow all things being well

this is the cheese, i only got 100g from 3 plants, but then again i only vegged them for a week. i am pretty happy with the yield considering, took this photo on friday and it is going rapidly. the quality is quite possibly the best stuff i've smoked, it's quite heavy going.
used some string to tie up the biggest of the buds on the lemon skunks. they are gonna yield at least 5 oz a piece, chopped one branch early and got 10g off it. i'm gonna start a new journal next week with my new seedlings, i'll make sure to post it in the grow journal section.
