first time grow. advice? comments?:)

hey everyone. we are currently in day 10 of flowering of our unknown species. take a look. tell us what you think.......advice, comments, questions....its a 250 watt MH setup in our closet. let us know....
any advice is appreciated

anyone out there that wants to let us know how were doing? we dont really know what to expect at day 11 of flowering, we think that they look alright...but please let us know your opinions. they are being grown under a 250 watt MH setup.

wow your plants look realy great!

what soil are you using? nutes?? I have heard that the HPS is better than the MH whats your opinion??

HPS are better for flowering they provide more of the Red spectrum, which is shown to be beneficial to flowering plants. You can prolly find a conversion bulb so you can still use your 250w MH ballast and have a HPS lamp... That should help your babies throughout the flowering phase. Other than that thought i would say your doing a great job, around the 3rd or 4th week of flowering is were the real fun begins....

We have been trying to find a conversion bulb, however noone locally has the conversion in stock except for HPS to MH and not the opposite. Would placing multiple CFLS around the plant....increase bud development as well as density? we have been toying with that idea.

We are using an entirely organic products. (tomorrow we will post a pic with all the supplies.) right now the products are in our grow room, and our babies are asleep

We used organic, micro, grow, and bloom nutrients purchased at our local hydroponic supply store. Also, we bought organic compost with live earthworms, and threw some of the worms right into our soil mixture. the worms really helped develop air circulation in the roots, much like perlite.

We also have been foliar feeding with an organic worm casting tea mixture. All water we use it RO, and PH balanced. We use a home liquid PH balance kit on all liquids involved in our op. We just recently purchased an organic bloom increasing nutrient called Buddha Bloom by Aurora Innovations out of Eugene, Oregon.

Damn- you are going a great job! I am doing a 400 GPS- amazing. they are over 3 feet tall. OMFG- I am no longer in a camp as large as you. Mine are as large as they can get, but they are not in the same camp as these. AmaZinfg. OMFG as the texters say.

Its always nice to hear we are doing well. Especially on our first try. Congrats on your plant, it looks great. How do you feel about HPS over MH, is it worth the upgrade for flowering? or does it look like we are doing fine?

Is this your first time with the HPS? or what kind of yield are you expecting? Do you happen to know your strain? unfortuneately, we are only hoping for Chronic, as the babies were given to us as clones. Are you using co2 supplementation? and if so what is your setup? How do you circulate air in the grow room. .....Our room is fairly small, the door is kept open during the day while the light is on, and they are put to bed, and the door is closed. we have a 36" standing vertical oscillating/ionizing fan in the corner.

So far we have been fortunate to have no deficiency issues whatsoever. Have you had any problems? whats the temp like in your room? ours during the day is about 75-77 degrees. .........So far we havent had any smell, but odor will be a factor for us, since we live in an apartment complex......we have 2 ionizers in the room...with an odor eliminating gel picked up at the hydro store........what do you think?? at what point in flowering does smell truely become an issue?

I peak at my baby with a green light lol, mostly because i have to change my clothes before i got to bed and shes in my closet.... As far as your question goes about when does it start smelling, its really strain Dependant. I had a baby that start to smell while she was Vegging and I have had babies that don't smell too strong till i hit the 3rd or 4th week of flowering... so taking that you don't have a strong smell yet i would say your good till you get to week 3 or 4.

I have 4 bagseed flowering between weeks 5 and 3 and the smell isn't that strong, it really depends on the weed, I use ona gel which really helps to cover he smell,...

I love the smell, i never try and cover it... If anything i would try to capture it... but then again I am legal so I don't have to worry about some piggy smelling my goodness

I would let them stink up the place if I was legal too!!

We actually are legal as well. however we live in a confined small studio apartment, and as much as we love the smell. our crazy upstairs neighbor often encourages incense use just from bong use. So we had to take preventative measures in order to keep her from nagging.
also we believe why deal with the cops when it isnt necessary. i hate them. dont trust them. and try to find as little reason for contact with them as humanly possible its friday everyone. have a great weekend. stay high.

Very good points, I live in an apartment also (if the name didn't give it away) but I happen to have very liberal neighbors.... they came over and smoked me out and helped me move in, so they know i smoke... end of story its smoke, nothing else. But as far as the piggies go, i have my note posted, i am with in the legal limit, and if they want to cut my crop they better be prepared to go to court over it.
