If you having trouble with fruiting your cakes, you can use a cheese grater to grate them up and spwan them to a bulk substrate. Google bucket tek, its Coir,verm and gypsum mixed with boiling water. You pour boiling water over your sub and let it sit in a bucket warped in a blanket for 2 hours. When its cooled you basically have a pasteurized substrate to spawn your grated up cakes to.

You will get a lot more fruits and imho its easier.
