First time grow, advice wanted!

Hello, a friend and I have two plants growing. We would like advice for our grows. The seeds are from a bag I got last year. The plants look different though, maybe a different phenotype?

The first plant (lighter leaves) has 4 23w daylight bulbs and 3 23w soft light bulbs on it.

The second plant (darker leaves) has 6 23w daylight bulbs on it. I believe this plants will be switched to soft light bulbs and 12/12 soon.

Both are on 18/6 cycle and in miracle grow moisture control soil. We have not measured the ph of the soil or added any nutrients yet.

Advice would be much appreciated! Thanks guy!

How much do you water them?

I water the top one about every other day. My friend waters the bottom about a liter every 3 days I believe.

Be careful not to over water. its good to let then dry out completely before next watering. although your schedule isnt to bad. You may wanna tweak it a bit

Edit: Sorry lemme rephrase not completely dry out. about the top 2 to 3 inches of the soil. roots then go searching for water which means better root growth.

I learned my lesson early on about over watering. Fortunately the moisture control soil seems forgiving.

Any ideas about nutrients? I have looked around the site and cannot find any specific information.

Any ideas as to when we should switch them to flowering? Both plants are over a month old.

Depends on the space limit plants have the potential to double or even triple in size once flowering is induced. Ida say get them ready for transition to 12/12 in the n ext week or so. Im using fox farm grow big as my veg nutrients and biocanna for flowering. id recommend going with the fox farm trio pack. I made a mistake going with advanced nutrients. There good dont get me wrong but there expensive as shit but kinda hard to understand
