What's up RIU?

I had been an info ninja, stealing valuable info posted around the site, to store in my database as I was starting. Decided to set an account up because I had recently started to grow and encountered a few problems, again find helpful information off some of the RIU community on my posts. Any how, decided to start a journal up (little late as they are 3 1/2 weeks into veg but got plenty of pics going back to the start). Will post this along with a few pics, hopefully get some people checking in, if so I'll continue to update. Here goes... Seedlings were germinated using the paper towel method until taproot was showing, then planted in seedling pots filled with canna coco professional plus. Here's 2 early sprouters after 2 days, 1 just trying to break through and no sign of other 2 at this point haha.
Room is 1.2m width x 2.2m length x 2.5m height. Temps are 24-27C. 14" oscillating fan. 6inch extraction fan. Finishing Pots are 12 litre. Grown in canna coco professional+. Gonna be getting fed with with full canna range, rhizotonic, cannazym, coco a+b, boost accelerator and pk13/14. Sorry bout the essay :)

After 4/5 had broke the surface. A day or 2 after, I noticed long tap roots poking out the bottoms of the seedling pots, so delicately tried repotting them into transparent plastic drinking cups ( hence taping them up with silver foil). image.jpg Notice the late sprouter/ no show, whilst the other 4 were getting rather leggy, due to being germinated under the only light I had a 600w mh lol. Kept burying them, to just under their round leaves.

Probably a noobish error on my behalf came when I seen the tap roots out the bottom of the cups. I panicked and transplanted again lol.

Oh and 'miss no show' decided she wanted to join her sisters at the sun party :) so all 5 had made it, although she was a full week late.image.jpg

Hey bro subbed up i also use canna it's a good product and that rhizotonic when using at the 4ml/liter - 16ml/gallon nothing even comes close to the root development plus and you can never go wrong with boost just watch out for PK/13/14 it's strong and will burn if you use at there recommended levels use it at 50% on your first feed 75% on your next and that should be week 5 over also cannazym don't use for the first couple weeks till you see a good root system at the base of your finial pot

Only bad points to Canna is there A/B is very salty mainly the part B i recommend flushing once every 2 weeks or making sure you get a good run off around 20% and you shouldn't have any trouble if you need any help with it let me know been using it for sometime now and got it down pat

Best of luck ill be watching bongsmilie

Nice one mate, appreciate the stop by.

Yeah between the coco and the rhizo, I was shocked at the rate they popped out the bottom. Obv I have nothing to compare it with since it's my first 'proper attempt' at a grow, but was amazed at the speed.

Yeah another noobish mistake was taking cannas feeding schedule as gospel truth, rather than a max guideline. Ended up burning a few leaves ( or so I think). Funny u should mention the b part cos I noticed the leakage on the green bottle lid evaporated leaving a heavy salt behind. Cheers again for the info on the pk, just finished 4th week of veg but gonna go another week due to a snapped branch lol. So will be looking at using the boost first then pk within the next month.
Again panicking at the first sign of a taproot showing a repotted a few haha. This is what I classed as the first proper week of veg after about a 2 week seedling stage of burying them and waiting for the last seeds to sprout
Cheers again image.jpg

If u can make out from the pics above you can see I've had my first attempts at training them.. 1 got topped at 5th node, 1 got fimmed at 5th node ( think I fimmed the fucking fim, if that's possible haha) and on received some lst on the main stem. All was going well for a week then I started noticing problems, leaves with indentations in them, weird discolouration and mutated patches. With some helpful advice and guidance from some of the RIU fam, I managed to narrow them down a bit, during all this, these or giving bitches were still heading up and out .. Anyhow here's some more picsimage.jpgimage.jpg image.jpg image.jpg
