First Time Grow~DIY~In My Basment

The plants have continued their rapid growth, and I've decided I'm going to start flowering. Why you ask? Because my AI is growing up fast and I need to make room for it. Also by the time these plants are done I may not be able to fit them in there. Furthermore, this is really only my practice batch, so no harm no foul. So anyways, the lights are now on 12/12. And tomorrow I will start giving them some Tiger Bloom. I have also taken the walls off their growing area, because they were just too big and bushy to easily keep them there. This will probably result in less direct light, but I'm hoping it doesn't effect them too much. Hopefully Maude won't suffer from the switch to flowering, because she is still young. I'm not sure of the repercussions from early flowering.

P.S. The plants are a much more healthy dark green in person, the camera seems to just suck the color from them.

Nice. I'm likin all the new nodal growth. They look alot better now. But i don't know where you have your AI in your grow but that little lady is strrrrrretching. Might wanna move her closer to the light. This is supposed to be a very squat plant. Not harping, just wanna be able to compare yields on these babes. Keep up the updates!

I changed the pots on all the larger plants. And i noticed some dead parts on a leaf. Everything else is normal

Now almost 2 weeks into my flowering schedule, I have switched to a 400W HPS light instead of 80W fluros'. Fortunately for me, my friend was kind enough to let me use his light.(thnx if you're reading this). This should really give my plants a boost and increase my yeild. It also allows me to split my room into two sections so that I can grow my ai side by side. As soon as she gets big enough I will put her with the 80W fluro's next to the big girls. I havn't completely made the two areas, but I plan to get some white plastic sheeting too effectivley split them. Oh and my god that light is bright! It's like having a smalll sun in my grow room.

They for some reason took for ever to start budding though. oh yeah, 2 of the 3 large plants turned out to be male. So they are gone.

I just fed my plants maple syrup in their water. Considering it is mainly corn syrup, sugar and molasses, I thought it make a decent flowering nute to increase bud size. My AI has taken 5x the recommended dose of tiger bloom, so this couldn't hurt it too bad.

Does the maple syrup sctually make bigger buds when flowering?

Ill have to look into that, ur plants look good tho

So by my account I'm about half way through flowering. The buds have continued to ripen, and I have spotted a few red hairs on both plants. My AI has taken on a new scent (It has evolved through out flowering), it now smells like minty tea and lemons/mango. If you rub your finger on a leaf your finger will smell like it:hump:. My other plant leans a new direction every time I check on it. I now have it supported by three things. How long do you guys think i have left???The anticipation is killing me:shock:! I can't wait to smoke her sweet, sweet bud. I'm thinking 3-4 weeks.

My large bag seed plant has developed dense plump buds that smell hashy; mean while my aurora has hairy, sticky, fruity buds. :weed:
