hello all,

just recently started growing for the first time, came across this site while trying to learn about growing, glad i came across it have learnt alot already and will be sure to change a few things next year. want to try those smart pots, any way here is a few photos of the grow . got the seeds from a friend who has had them for years, there just bagseed, so strain is unknown. but he has grown many times with these seeds with varied results. all the seeds were mixed up so who knows whats what.

they have been growing for 9 weeks from seed.

for the soil i just dug out that hole/trench about a foot wide, foot deep and 3 foot long and filled with mushroom compost, topsoil and cow manure.

this is the first day i transplanted from pot to ground.

a day later one looked quite sad.

came good a few days later.

the larger one has been topped, and ive started tying it down. from photo 2 till the last is about 6 weeks growth.

this is the nutrients i just picked up, before this i used some from the hardware store. only used the new one once so keen to see how it goes. has anyway had any experiance with this type?

if anyone has any tips or tricks ill be glad to know , thanks for looking!

Hey guys thanks for the feedback, I'm not entirely sure when they will start lowering but pretty sure they have probly another 8-10 weeks vegetive growth, and Buddha Webb the plants are in direct sunlight for atleast 11 hours each day, would would your opinions be on topping the smaller one ? I didn't because I wanted to compare the two , what do you find works best? Thanks !

The bigger ones are starting to get sick. Check the ph of the soil, get it to 6.5. Also add some lime on top and water it in for calcium def and a PH buffer. next grow add lime (about 2 cups) to each hole when you prepare it, the ferts you used can cause acidity.
For the time being to confirm its the ph ,foliar feed with a diluted solution of MGrow (for eg) once a week to stop the yellow new growth which can turn into a major prob.

If space aint a prb nug, dont top it,let em grow grow grow,,11 hrs sun is amazing, they need to grow..as buds says check your ph and calcium and magnesium are gonna be required, all micro nutes,,esp cal/mag/sulphu /boron/manganese............i think there looking fine.......B.

hey guys thanks for the info, i havent checked the ph or anything like that. after a feed last night of that big bud nutrient the plants are looking better they grew an inch or so and have greened quite a bit not so much yellow at the new growth. I will still get some lime and add that and water in. how much should i use and is dolomite lime the right type? hah thanks for the advice, also how do i check the ph? thanks here are some pictures from today

Hey nug,
Dolomitr limes cool..You need to get a ph tester, but there pricey,,ph paper is hit and miss a bit?? ph tester, you will need one eventually, its a necessity...Dont use hydrated lime or your fucked, get dolomite,,,i usually use about 2 heaped tablespoons for each 3 gallon pot of soil mix,or thereabouts....those new pics are looking better already..there looking good all round i reckon..good luck.....B.

hey guys just an update, so had a fair bit of trouble the last two weeks. watered in some lime didnt do much think the ph is still out but havent got a reader yet!
also had quite a bad bug infestation. spider mites and lots of whiteflies and other things. been spraying with neem and pyrethen seem to be keeping them at bay , sort of.. not only all this shit but my bigger plant was a male! so only one now . not to exciting.
heres some photos.

Bro the lime will work too slowly, should be put in the hole a month before planting, also it raises ph and i think yours is already high. Get a digital meter off ebay $25 or hydro shop and some ph adjusters $25 for both ( and you only need a few drops) to get fast results and water with ph adjusted water (6.5) every watering with a can. In the mean time foliar feed with weak str MGrow/dist water mix ,spray under and overleaf in the cool of morning and they should respond to this.

Thanks flowmasta your plant is looking sweet I'll be sure to check out your thread, Yerh I'm really not sure why his are so big, maybe the tin shed next to it generates alot of heat? He said he has only feed nutes about half a dozen times and not watered them much more than that, looking foward to seeing them flower!
