I have 4 plants. I used epson on two plants, and Cal- Mag on the other two.

Not sure what start water ppm means but i took a gallon jug and put a gram of epsom and teaspoon of feed into one.
in the other i put a teaspoon of cal mag and a teaspoon of feed.

i dont have an EC meter but ill order one.

Def greener and a lot bushier.

You are doing good man..

Keep it like that and get ur self a legit ec meter I recommend blue lab turinachin or handy pen I have the handy pen my self.

Its all trial and fault man.

Good luck and Keep it up .

I would say that the ones who getten the epsom will do better.

Devide them into two groups and lets see whats gonna work better :peace:

The first you get the ec meter.

Calibrate it then put it into your tap water and check how much ppm does it reads on scale of 500

And make some readings regarding how to use an ec meter using the different mesuring scales
Ec(global)
500(most used)
700

Sorry one more thing, when u order the ec meter dont forget the cleaning and calibration kit so you dont order twice ;).

Happy growing.

Bubble.

Thanks! Much better. New leaves are not discolored. the plants do seem a little stout and on the droopy side but not unhealthy in terms of color and growth.

Epsom was doing better than the cal mag so i just went with that across the board.
I switched lighting to an LED panel cause my temps were just unmanageable in this weather.
I dont know if its the fact that theres less heat or the light spectrum but they are getting bushier every day.

i dont really have a point of reference tho. how do they look to you? any suggestions?

Hay bro thanks am happy I was able to help.

Okay here is the thing when it comes to your plants at the moment..

I wouldnt say that they get a balanced food..

The discolour is eneded bcz u supplement with the epsom but how the plants are looking now I would say that you aint feeding good!

((am not sure if this is the best advise for soil bcz I grow in coco))

But, If I was in your place, I would take all the damaged fan leaves or the one that dosent look healthy then Ill flush the soil pretty good and get a reputable (base nutes line)

You can not go wrong with canna!

I dont say its the best but its for sure the most simple if you use thier calculator chart on thier website on canna uk

http://www.canna-uk.com/growguide

Also did you got your self the EC pen?

Cheers

Thank u man. so i got this: http://www.botanicare.com/Pure-Blend-Pro-Soil-1-4-5-P49.aspx

your saying i should water them with no nutrients, how much water is a good flush for a 3 gallon pot?

then I wait for them to dry and then start feeding them again?

oh and yes i got the EC pen

For me ((personally)) botanicare is garbage!

I heard from a friend abroad that I trsut his skills that they didnt work good for him, I have silica blast from them which am very skiptical on using it!

Just my 2 cents..

Am not sure if flushing the soil would be the best approach, but in coco it makes no difference as I can flush and feed right after (no worries from over watering).

Maybe somebody from the community would chem in and give extra advise !

Whats the readings of your base water, ppms on 500scale?

Your tap water is high in ppms man.

Try mixing your tap water with the 0 ppm water you have to get 200/250 ppm then add your normal nutes, some roots and some enzyms additives and thats it.

No cal mag and no mag and check from there.

Take off the most fucked up leaves.

Ph your nutes and feed 1.3 or 1.4 ec and see u in few days :)..

Appreciate the check in. As bubble gum pointed out the deficiency was magnesium.p I'm in the late flowering stages now. Probably 3 weeks out from harvest. The plants are healthy but have really been thru it as a result of my noobishness but I've learned a lot and as an experience it's been more rewarding of an experiment then I ever thought it would be.
