Hello all first time poster to RIU - Thanks to all who've contributed to the vast amount of information provided.

Just wondering if my Master Kush is stretching too much? It's under a 300w (220w actual draw) LED 8:1 ratio red:blue light from China.. using 3 part advance nutes in hygromite medium

This is my first grow and looking at pics on the net it seems okay by comparison but I'm no expert so I figured I'd seek some constructive criticism.

Hi there,
Great picts. My advice would be that the plant looks fine. Maybe a touch long in the middle, but some just grow like that to start off with, then they even out.

If you are not using supplementary lighting, you may consider it for the veg period. A 42watts 6500k “Daylight” (medium base) CFL will make ensure that any initial stretching is nipped in the bud, so to speak. Then you can cut it out when the plant enters flowering.
I hope this helps.

Im vegging some Blue Cheese under cfl at the moment and it was stretching.
I got a reflector and moved it about 2" away from the canopy and it sorted it right out.
At 4 weeks its beautiful.

Cool thanks for the fast response. I forgot to mention that they're roughly a month old from seed. Does this seem like an okay amount of growth? This is the tallest of the girls .. I'm planning on adding a custom made 100w LED light that I've purchased the components for but haven't assembled all the way yet.. does color temp 6000-6500K & 8,000 lumen @ around 100w

I took a pic of one of the shorter plants -- the white rhino's don't seem to be as tall as the master kush

this one also looking good?

Might just be a placebo typo effect but the additional lights really seem to make them sing to me :weed:
