Alright day 24 update:

So today is the first time I got to take a really good look at the girl in about 2 weeks and she looks GREAT!!!! everything is a dark healthy green and the inner node growth looks really good. Also decided to ghetto rig some string and start to lst her to fill the scrog

Been giving her just tap water every 3 days and thinking of adding nutes soon.

Something else I wanted to know is if I should top or fim. I was thinking of topping since I don't really care about veg time I am want take it slow and get a good yield so any opinions on that?

If it were me, I'd top. FIM by it's very nature is a bit hit n miss, isn't it? At least by topping you get a pretty good idea of what's gonna happen next. And you can then start training the branches in the directions you wanna put em. All sounds good man, keep it up!

DAY 28 UPDATE:

so I finally got another little fan to put in the box and it looks like it's bringing the temp down a good but so I'm happy with that. Also tightened up the lst string to really bend her over. The starter leaves are starting to yellow but I think that's because they are touching the soil when I bent her over. I am going to start giving her nutes next week I think and maybe another 5 days before I put the screen in.

Oo and I also topped her. You can kinda see in the close up pic but can someone tell me if I did it right? I pinched the smallest part and plucked it off.

DAY 29 UPDATE:

well now you can really see where I topped her I didn't get a pic of it last night. She doesn't look on shock or anything and since adding the new fan the temps have been mid 80s

Well here is a 30 day update!!!!!!!

Well she needed water today do I gave her a really good watering. She is looking a little yellow and droopy but other than that she looks great. The inner node growth has really started to move along since I toped her.


Any comments or criticism?

so the last update I moved the lights a little closer and the temp spiked to 95 so I moved them back up about 5 inches. She looked a little droopy and yellow still then I realized it has been a month so she needs some food! My mentor gave me some general hydroponics floranova grow and I used it at half strength. I will see how she responded later.

As far as the topping goes she has recovered pretty nicely from it and the 2 tops look great!

so I have been reading up on cfls with higher watts and was wondering if anyone had any comments on 42w bulbs and if they put off more heat than the 23w and if so is it a big differance

Idk the difference in heat between those two. I know if you can get a fan blowing across the lights it drops the temp. You can get a small pc fan that you can strap to the surge protector that'll move with the lights

Yeah I had a perfect battery powered one you can see in the previous pics but the batts just don't last long enough. Thinking about just buying another pc fan and splicing it into the already existing setup. Going to hopefully get a pic of her later and get to check her out

Trained her back under. Debating on switching to 12/12 soon or if I should fill the screen more. Also worried if I veg longer if I will run out of room

all i can say for my scrog is thank god i flipped when idid id be maxed out even more if i wait more then 23 days of veg.
double to triple stretch im thinking tiple for mine i just keep weaving branches through but still seeing more budsites and losing room.
soo id flip in the next few days brotha.well actually what are you at?

Fed her some nutes on Thursday ad DAMN did she like them. Grew through the screen about an inch and a half over night!!

hey man looking good just remember when you go to lollipop you need room for your hand to fit in there to trim and stuff.
like even mines alil difficult.just a thought looks healthy

You mean what's under the screen? That's why I like the fabric grow bag. I am pull the sides down a little and get under there. Plus I don't really have much underneath the screen. All the side shoots are getting up to the screen so everything is pretty much even now. Think I am going to switch to flower on monday

yeah just any extra lil foliage underneath i took off and lollipoped on like 2 or 3 week of flower.next time im going to do it alil earlier.
but anyway yeah id lolli and trim up on the 6th or 7th day of switching to 12/12 how long has it been?

She is still in veg. I am going away for the weekend and I want to be here when she start flowering to train her to fill the screen
