Thats a good set up. First things first. She looks really really good. Short and stocky is a plus. I see that you have tin foil there. Make sure not to encase the grow area with it cause it raises the temperature of the area. Which is not good for the plant. Also because your using CFL's and the only way they'll burn your plant is if water droplets were on the leaves or if the lights were actually touching the plant for prolonged hours. Try either raising your plant closer to the light or lower your lights closer to your plant to get max potential.

Looking good :) If you can't get your hand on Mylar try using those windscreen shades you can get for a car and attach them to all four sides of your growing area. It really helps utilize the lights. Maybe try getting some more CFL's and fixtures so you can vegg a couple of plants and so you're more likely to end up with at least one female. And like BioChemx mentioned try getting the CFL's as close to the plant as possible, that was you'll have denser growth and the plant wont stretch.
Happy growing :)

:leaf:She needs nourishment in the form of nutrients high in nitrogen to start than when you begin to flower high in potash.

Keep it :leaf:

Nice start. You might want to invest in a circulating fan. A little wind in your grow area will help strengthen the stem. Also, get some good grow nutrients and some flowering nutes. Fox Farm Grow Big (veg stage nutes), Big Bloom and Tiger Bloom (flowering stage nutes) are good.

Thank you all for the suggestions. i do have a fan on it right now and an humidity/temp in the with it, temp usually varies between 80-85 deg. with a 24% hum. and a DIY co2 with it. ill keep postin as i continue with hopefully my baby girl!

your going to want to get some find of enclosure going as soon as you can,for multiple reasons, but mainly to be able to make an envroment for your babys that you are able to manipulate so that you can replicate optimal growing conditions as best you can.
also your going to want that humidity at about 50% while i veg. your temps are perfect, and as they get bigger they will want more light so basicly fill that surge strip with those socket plug things u got and you will be golden.. but other than all that, she looks good and healthy

alright its day 18 and since the my last post my baby has grown pretty damn quick. pics attached. im getting really anxious about starting nutes, how old/big should she be before adding? thanks again fellow nugz :leaf:

You could start anytime, but do start understrength on the nutes. During the vegetation stage your nutes will most likely be a little high on nitrogen. This being the case, watch your plant for shades of green. Darker means the plant has plenty of nitrogen, pale means the plant is needing a fix.

Alright i noticed yesterday that the lower leaves (not the first sprout leaves) are turning yellow a little towards the tips and are a couple brown spots at the very tip.. the next leaves up are also starting to yellow, whats wrong with my baby!!?? i attached a few pics, you can kinda tell what im talkking about. please help, thanks!!!

what kinda of soil are you using? may be that the soil has some nutes in it already and its a little too much for them just yet,if that is the case just give plain water for a week or so you will see the new growth will be healthy..then begin to bring the nutes into the feeding, starting at 1/4 of the suggested strength

Im using organic miracle grow, bought from home depot..ill try just feeding her water for a week and see what happens. thanks guys, ill update in a week with pics.

alright its been 4 days since last post and im convinced my babe is getting nute burns from the soil, leaves are still perky and not drooping so ive been just fighting throough it with her. i mean its not like i can do anything but cont. plain watering right?(never given nutes) also havent seen alot of new growth, prob stunned from the over nute but its only been 4 days so i guess theres still time. ill update when the week is finally ariveed. wish us luck ...

Is that merical grow organic choise?

if it is get a ph meter and check your run off. im a super noob but im running into a ph problem and a NPK issue. i started from seed on 1/14 and fed with distilled water.

sorry if im totaly off base just trying to give a heads up. your grow medium looks like mine. good luck.

Dont panic remember? First off the browning is because of nute burn. Your using either too much nute's or you keep giving it nute's a few days in a row. Stop that, its two parts water to one part nute. The yellowing is cause she's being overwatered. Lay off watering her every day. Try every other day but dont give her a little bit of water and expect it to hold over to the next. Give a good amount and then hold off. Good luck.

i havent added any nutes at all, im just watering with distilled water every 3-4 days and my medium is miracle grow organic, which has nutes in already, slow release and regularly available nitro and other nutes. i wouldnt think watering once every 3-4 days could cause overwatering, i water usually till i see a little drain off. could i get a ph meter at walmart? or where should i look for one of those other then the internet? thanks all

Well yeah, you can water every 3-4 days but it all depends on how much water your giving it. The size of the plant and other factors. At this time your plant should not be getting that much water. They're young. way too young for you to be doing that, half the dosage of water or cut it by 25% but increase the watering time, instead of every 3 days do it every 2. Change it up already, next is your medium next time should not be miracle grow organic. Get peat moss or something else. Or get fox farm, go to a hydroponics store and ask them about Fox farm nute's. The ph meter you can get at a hydroponics store as well. Your welcome. Happy growing.

alright so since the last post, ive changed up the amount of water im giving her, abouut 2 cups of water right to the base and will keep doing so every 2 days (maybe 3 depending on how soil feels) Heres a couple of pics of her so far, thanks for your input.
