hi all I'm doing my first grow I'm growing 4 dinafem moby dick 1 og kush and 1 candy 99
I'm running 2 600 watt mh bulbs through veg but going to boost through flower to 1320 using sumnmaster hps bulb in flower
I'm using advanced nutrients I'm using b52,rhino skin, voodoo juice, piranha and sensi grow coco a and b in veg and b52,big bud coco, overdrive, piranha, flawless Finnish, bud igniter and rhino skin and sensi coco bloom a and b for flower, I'm on day 5 at the mo, temp and humididity good I fed a low strength nutes which I've been told I shouldn't do until the second week, but there looking good apart from 1
The small one in the pics I've put a few pics of it up, the small one looks like it hasn't grown since day 3! There in big pots so I'm hoping it will catch up and not dead!! does the small one look ok to you guys? Seems strange that it's the same seeds as the others and fed like the others yet this one hasn't grown as big at all! ✌

That's a lot of tying j ok if you only got 1 or 2 but doing theta to 8 and keeping on top of it will be tough for a newbie like me ill just top a few times hopefully my little runt picks up soon

I can see your problem immediately. When new seedlings first go into dirt the plant is concerned with just one thing - growing enough roots so the plant is stabilized. So the s'ling sends out roots until the roots reach the side of the pot. That tells the plant to dial back on root growth and start to show growth aboveground. We put new s'lings into solo cups first so the roots quickly reach the inside of the cup and start to grow greenery. By putting a brand new seedling into a huge pot you are going to spend extra weeks watching roots grow. Transplant back into small cups until the plant is 100-150% as tall as the solo cup. Then TP again into a one gal. size pot. then finish them by TP into 3 gal pot. Works for me and I'm sure you can save time by TP'ing early and often.

Good luck, BigSteve.

Thanks but I'm a newbie first grower I don't think I could keep transplanting without damaging ect next time I'll use smaller pots to start it off, I guess I'm gonna have to veg for a while to hit the sides of the monster pots I'm using:) I was at 1200 watt mh for my grow tent the tents 2.4 by 1.2 but I've turned it down to 800 for now coz I think I might of been getting a bit of stress even though temp been great at 79 and humidity at 50

Thx ill try to there in such big pots I'm scared to over water them:) Ive been stupidly misting with the lights on a few times a day didn't realise you gotta do that when lights are out:) but turned the lights down hoping that helps, do I water with nutes? I'm being told by some not to and others I have to coz I'm growing in coco, I fed this morning so that's the third feed they have had in the 6 day, I gave 1 litre between the 8 I'm growing, I mixed in rhino skin, voodoo juice,b52,piranha,and sensei coco a and b but diluted not full strength

In coco it is possible to use much smaller pots, I used 3.6L and had some good results in the past.
Coco likes to be watered at least daily and can never run dry. It is not easy to overwater coco by hand so don't be shy.
Using automated drippers makes coco growing extremely easier and also achieves much higher wetting than you could offer by hand. That also allows multiple waterings per day which is very easy with coco.

Unlike soil, coco doesn't hold nutrients and there is no much point to growing a lot of roots as the feeding solution is all the food the plant gets, and it is homogeneous.
It also means fertilizing from day 1 can work, I use 0.2EC with 0 background EC water (rain / RO / AC / Dehumidifier).
If you do not own an EC meter do not fertilize until plants form the first set of true leaves, like in your case, and than (now for you) start at 1/4 dose. Increase dosage once faster growth starts or if plants look yellow - green instead of healthy green. Too strong green means you fertilize too much. As you can realize, working without an EC meter is quite a guessing game and I highly do not recommend it unless you checked your solutions at least once.

Thx I bought a cheap ppm metre and broke it calibrating the stupid thing!;) I've been very easy on nutes so far but gonna up the feeding a bit, I've notice they are a light green so gonna feed again tomorrow and up it quart strength, Ive ordered a better 'tds metre should be with me Monday, maybe the advice I've been getting about over watering was people thinking I'm growing in soil not sure because my plan was to feed daily but was listening to what others were telling me, I bought a humidifier to raise humidity and it stays at 55 % but if I spray wall etc rises to 65 or so temps great at 79 I think perfect just need to get the feeds right thanks for the help

Aquapro EC meter cost 30 USD on eBay and works very well. Doesn't need calibration of any sort.
55% is not too bad. If you water more frequently you'll get high RH anyway :-P

I think if you do what Yekke said you want go wrong he is spot on
Thanks fam!

. I fed them a lot today quarter strength nutes here's some pics do they look like I've over watered? And there's a little one that isn't nearly as big as the others and I havent a clue why? The pots I'm using are 7 gal pots so I know there huge but don't wanna transplant ect, the small one is the same seed as the others so don't why it isn't as big? Could it be dead or still developing roots ect ?
