First time grower - Are these ready?

Hey y'all,

This is my first outdoor grow and I'm wondering what everyones opinion is if this plant is ready or not?

I have no idea what the strain is. Someone gave me some seeds and I planted them not expecting much. Today I looked through a microscope and a decent amount of trichromes looked yellow but some still look clear? I assume the ones that are yellow are damaged from the several days of rain we had. I dont know.

Should I chop or wait a couple more weeks?

Looks like it could go longer to me
Welcome to RIU :weed:
Thank you. Maybe another week or 2?

It been putting out some new white hairs recently but seems to be swelling up good. I think all the rain we had turned alot of the white hairs brown so its deceiving to look at for me.

Last week a small branch broke off and I found that there are seeds inside the bud . But the seeds van squish really easily. Dont know if I stressed it out or someone nearby was growing a male plant. Kind of sucks.. but maybe ill have some usable seeds for next year...

All my other plants still seem to be in the early stages of flowering so I'm thinking this one started flowering way early. Maybe an auto flower of sorts.

Also fighting other issues with a couple of my other plants... wpm.. from a zucchini plant that was near by and these annoying white flies. seemed to have gotten it under control with green cure and this stuff called whipe out.

Hope I least get anything decent from this harvest

Do you have a jewelers loupe, if not I'd get one. You dont have to use one but it takes the guessing out of it.

This is the one I have...

Edit: Carson MicroBrite Plus 60x-120x Power LED Lighted Pocket Microscope

When I look through it though, I see alot of amber trichromes. Is it possible that they could be damaged from the rain/wind? Ill look again and see if maybe I can post some close up pictures of the trichromes.

No damage, Amber trichs are simply degraded. You'll never get a 100% perfect milky trichs, there's always going to be some amber, it's just a matter of how much amber you like? Personally I don't. Im a 90%milky 10% clear chopper.

I checked my plants today and harvested a couple of the top colas. Do you go by the trichromes that are round shaped (Like a mushroom) or any of them in general?

The trichromes on my plant that appear an amber color are mostly just the ones that dont look like a mushroom. If that makes sense.

I was thinking about picking up some humidity packs off of Amazon for the cure. Is this a good idea? Is the 60 or 65% packs good?

I go by the whole thing buds and leafs, mainly buds, if their milky im good. I dont use the Humidity packs, the way I have my house setup I have a few rooms that have constant air flow and the right temps. I go for slow dry and once there at that sweet spot I jar em. I have read from other people that use them and they like them, I have no exp with em. Im old school so I dont follow half the crap on here like 24-36 hrs of dark then cut....Silly

Thanks for the info! I will give it a try without the packs.

So far I got some buds that seem dry enough to put into jars. Gonna try going for a 3 month cure

Once you put them in the jar do you just open it every day for 5-10 mins is what I read online?

Heres some pictures from earlier today
