also i have cut back drastically on water, and ive noticed a boost in humidity as much as 11 % in counting. as ive been watering almost everyday or everytime ive noticed soil dry. which i found out is incorrect. i havent watered my plants for two days now and im gonna leave them another day or so if they seem to need it. but since the cut back on water ive notice plant growth more than ive seen since ive had the plants. im working on getting up to home depot for the cfls while im out is there any other things i might need? which kind of color of cfls should i get soft white or what?

Get the cool white for veg and the warm white for flowering. Also I'd try to get your lights and plants closer together. I use CFL's for veg that are way bigger than those, but I still never have them more than 3 inches away.

Get your lights closer to your plants...and get a fan blowing on the plants as well as on the lights...those stems look very weak.

Actually to be honest you don't have enough lights for the amount of plants you have. Your going to want to have at LEAST 5 per plant. Your really better off to go get an HPS setup, but that's IMO.

I used 8 23watt (cool or 6500k temp) lights.. for 8 plants... you can get away with using 4 of these.. they cost like 2 bucks each.. and you can buy a splitter to affix 2 light bulbs into 1 socket. which is 84cents...

KEep the lights you have now.. but they wont help that much for vegging growth of your plants.. you need lights closer to the right side of the meter shown on your light bulb case. you need it closest to Daylight or 6500k..

good move on the ph test kit.. ALWAYYS!!! ph your water when you give it to your plants... ALWAYS!!! (6.5 :)

Goodluck..

You need to get DAYLIGHT cfl's for your veg stage...the soft whites are for flowering. As said before....look for the 6500K daylight bulbs. HAving a few of the softwhites is actually good to have...but make sure you are concentrating on the blue spectrum the most.

OK...but just look at my pics. That's grown with 5 6500K and 2 4100K bulbs (Daylight and Cool White). But if it's working for ya keep growing.
