Oh, my bad, sorry. I should have read more carefully. I saw your pictures and it looked like soil and perlite on my phone, which is what I use at about 3 to 1 ratio.

Oh, thanks! I'm sure you will very soon. I'd bet in the next 6 weeks. Cause if I can do it, anyone can. I mean, I didn't even have a timer. So there were definitely screw ups.

Yea, the garden friendly, it should list D747 as the active ingredient. I just squirt a lil of my pre-made dilution in before I mix any nutes (yes, even before Armor Si). And because I use tap water and probably have chlorine in it I continually give it throughout the grow.
You know it! Just sprinkle a lil on top of your coco, not on your seedlings though.
And I wouldn't worry about neem until your mixing up your next growing medium batch.

If you put your pots on an incline that emptied into a reservoir (what I did) you could buy a cheap ($2) pump off eBay (mine was a lil bigger because I was running more plants) and run a top feed line 24/7, ... Or you could place the pots inside tubs but on top of some sort of "riser" to keep them out of the water,... ... or any way you think of that you could circulate from reservoir to plants, if you did that you wouldn't have to worry about anything as far as over watering or under watering and the soil is continually getting flushed and your roots are continually getting fresh oxygen.
I know that sounds cotradictive to what I said earlier but with it constantly flowing the medium stays fresh where as if you water once every 3 or 4 days (the time it would take the medium to dry out) the standing water could start to grow all sorts of shit you're roots aren't into.
Piece of roofing tin on some sawhorses..

Thanks! Yeah I've been reading about that method, thanks for breaking it down, because it was confusing. I may try that my next grow, or the one after that(especially if I'm still having watering issues). I use drip tape in my regular garden, so I'm familiar with it.

Hey guys back again, if no one is following this thread ill post a new one. Ok so I've put all 3 plants(afghani autoflower) under my 2 600w bloomspect LED's(20/4). They are on day 16 from germination. I'm in a 50/50 coco perlite mix. I have given less water since the last post(now giving 1 gallon split between 3 plants(5 gallon smart pots). I never get any runoff. I'm feeding 2.5ml of silica, 3ml cal mag, 4ml micro, 8 ml bloom, and 2.5ml slf-100 root enzyme, all per gallon of water(I give the biggest one a little more than the other 2). The plants are all growing, but I just have a funny feeling something may be wrong, and maybe I am having some kind of nute lockout. Would you guys recommend a flush?(have not done that yet). Or do things look normal? The new forming leaves in the center are what have me worried. Pics attached, thanks for any replies/help.

Thanks that's probably just what I needed to hear! This is the last time I'm doing autos in 5 gallon grow bags, and I think that is why its giving me anxiety over figuring out how much water/runoff and slowness of growing. Maybe the roots are doing their thing now, and the tops will burst later. I see other peoples plants at this age and they look so much more developed! Thanks man you put me a little more at ease!

They look good! They are right on par with most of my 16 day plants from seed.
If people have bigger plants than those at 16 days then they typically are using clones, or auto watering.
Color looks good, growth looks good, they are coming along just fine. Its normal when you're just starting out to think things are wrong because you see all these other pics, but you're right on track. They all seem to grow slow in the beginning, but they'll get bigger than you think faster than you know.
Sativa will get bigger and faster than indica will.

Great! Thanks for the reply. Yeah seeing others at day 16/17 is what had me worried. I will most likely move to 3 gallon bags for autos from here on out. And 5-7 gallon for photo's(after potting up from solo cup to 1 gallon to final). Thanks guys

Oh yeah one quick question... So if I keep watering like I'm doing(no runoff yet), until the plants are a little bigger(maybe like a week or two), will that cause a build up of salts/maybe nute lock? Would I be able to just do a big flush, in lets say 2 weeks, and then start watering to runoff at that point?

You shouldn't be feeding them enough at this point for them to get salt build up. They are young and only need a small amount. Then as they get bigger you can give them a little more. More nutes will not make the plants grow faster.

Give em enough water where they are just barely dry by the time you have to water again. As the plant gets bigger it will drink more water and youll have to give it more water.
If you dont set up a circulation this time around then just keep hand watering as needed for the next 10-15 days. At that point you should be able to begin flooding till run-off and should be able to tell when to water again by how heavy the pots are. If it's full of water it will still be heavy, if it's dry it will be light. Water when light. Its been my experience they like a cycle of dry to wet. I believe this because when I first started out I ran my reservoir dry multiple times during the grow. I would leave for a few days and then come back and my pump would be running but the reservoir and plants would be bone dry. After I put the water to em again they would seem to grow in front of your eyes... Better to have less water than too much..
EDIT: Rather, it's easier to fix dry pots than wet moldy pots..

How's it going?
I aggressively trimmed back my seedlings and topped to show how easy and well a top feed works. Just fish aquarium hose and $2 pump off eBay. Ran it 24/7.
Defoliated and topped (you can see where I accidentally broke off a branch on one of the seedlings
)...
10 days later...
You can see one of the plants is growing out the side, lol, because its missing its other half that I broke off haha...

Ok update for anyone that cares..... Lost one(out of 3),...well she's is still alive, but her main stem was broken(long story). gonna try and keep her alive but don't think it's possible, but she is still green. I got one monster! 38 days old, just started flowering(all 3 auto flower afghani). Got my other babys sitting next to her..... First, should I go to bloom nutes?? Also, I'm really worrying about giving different nutes to different girl's. And my tent seems to be too hot, anyway to cool it down??(outside temp under 30 degrees american). Winter time, so in the summer I'm gonna have to figure something out(I guess I can just keep my ac on in my bedroom).

I would try to elevate the smaller plants to the same height as the big plant.

Bummer about splitting the stem. I've seen plants recover from that though. Being an auto I'm not sure how well it will go but it might survive, these plants are surprisingly resiliant.
