I am a first time outdoor grower and would LOVE some insight on a few things.
I am growing in containers.

Visited my plants today after a long dry spell and although some are doing well one is completely dead and the other other is almost dead.

Basically the branch was completely snapped, hanging by a dry looking plant 'fibre thread' it is a very small, light plant so it couldn't be from being too heavy. Could this be simply from dehydration or is this evidence that an animal ate the stem?

Also, the buds were probably in their second week of flowering, so quite small. They are extremely premature but I was wondering if they would be any use smoking once dry? I just feel bad if growing the whole plant was in vain. I have attached some pictures.

A few other questions:
1) how long do I dry for
2) the seed 60 day auto, it's 60 days till flowering correct? Then how long to flower?

Thank you in advance so much for any insight, I have been researching like mad looking for some answers! :)

oh sweetie that plant doesnt look good at all.
if thats the brand that snapped off, than not much you can do but dry it and smoke it if you want.

However you need nutes, and water for sure

Is the weed mature enough that if smoked will do anything?

Also, do you know why the branch might have snapped off? Can dehydration lead to a break in a branch?

Thanks for the quick response btw!

Here are some pictures of the broken plants. The one in the black pot is completely a goner, the one in the green I think is still okay.
If anyone could give me some insight onto how the stem might have cracked like this it would be much appreciated. Accordingly to the weather it rained A LOT during the last week and a half that I didn't visit the plant.

Also if you look closely at the last image you can see that the stems that have weed growing on them look like they are also going to break soon.

Lastly, even though the main stem is broken does it look like the rest of the plant will continue to grow?

Insight MUCH appreciated!!! :)

Tie them to a stick or branch stuck into the ground. You definitely should water more often, and maybe top dress with some bat guano and put a 2 inch layer of soil over that and water it in real good. This way at least when it rains your plant will still get fed.
