First time grower help please

Ok i am trying to build a grow small grow room like a closet grow room. I have this amount of space 43.5 inchs wide 28 inchs deep about 7 feet high.I was planing on using cfls but i am not sure if this is the best thing to do i do have a htg 400 watt hps light but it would make a large amount of heat in the space wouldnt it? I am trying to get around 4 ounce every 3 months. Please tell me which would cost less and give off less heat my budget is also around 100 dollars.

The supplies i have now are.
400 watt hps w/ converstion bulb mh
10 light sockets
about 20 cfls 23-26 watters
5 gallon buckets
fox farm ocean forest soil
mylar
4 inch line fan
3-4 computer fans
fox farm nutes
timer

so does anyone know if with 250 watts of cfls i can grow 4-5 oz of bud. Blue mystic from nirvana are the seeds i have also.

Well you got alot of good stuff. I would take the ten light sockets put the cfl's in & mount them. The cfl's use 26watts but whats the actual output/ lumens?
10 100w 5700 lumen should be great for 2 - 3 plants
Thats too small of a space for the hps I think
Line the closet with reflective liner buy a few gallon size pots and get reading. There's alot of help threads
and ooodles of info on here. 2 plants should get you 4-5 at the very least.
250 watts of cfls is not enough for two plants that you want a yield of 4-5 oz tho
