First Time Grower HELP!

I am a first time grower and researching CFL lights for growing only 1 plant.
Very basic, soil and miracle grow mix. Stealth grow in closet. lol

I need to know what bulbs and how many i need for the plant. I read the sticky on this forum and it says 6000k for flowering and 2700k for veg.
But someone said at least 125W bulb would support 2 plants. But the 42W CFL ,link below, has 6000k. So in my mind that is enough for the plant.

Anybody mind clearing that up?

Thanks for the time and advice :leaf::clap:

do yourself a favor and dump the miracle grow soil in the garbage... the only MG product ive been able to grow with any success is MG organic potting mix.

MG time release soils are not your friend, if your growing cannabis. they will burn your plants because the heavier watering schedule needed for cannabis (vs other, potted plants and flowers MG is intended to be used for) releases too much fertilizer...

3 42 watt cfl's will work out rather nice, for just one (1) small plant. with proper training and pruning, you might get an ounce out of it, especially if you use uncle ben's technique for 2-4 main colas.

if your just starting out, my advice to you is to get a quality organic soil, like fox farms ocean forest, or mg organic, some bloodmeal, some bonemeal, and let nature take its course. dont over water, dont over fertilize, if the bottle says mix 1 cup to 1 gallon, mix 1/4 to one gallon. make sure theres some air movement, and make sure your growing spot has no light leaks.

good luck. with a little research, and alot of patience, and a few mistakes, you will make a fine grower.
