First Time Grower in Cape Breton NS

Planning to try and grow a few plants this year in Nova Scotia. Is anyone familiar with growing in Eastern Canada? Is it too late to start? If not, I plan to order some seeds online, what's the best site/seeds? It's my first time growing and I'm not too serious about it at this point, just going to see what happens. I'm doing some research now trying to learn as much as I can about growing but I need some advice from someone who has grown around here. Specifically, when should I plant and what seeds should I use?

If I were you I would start out with bagseed since this will be your first grow. I say bagseed because in my opinion every grower should have hands on experience with both male and female plants. I say this because if you take a liking to growing you will have common knowledge of both sex's. Then you can learn about cross pollination. Its not to late to plant.

If you order now ,they"d b here by the end of may. Sprout em in wet paper towel,put em in cups on the window sill,and put em outdoors about July 1st. They'll take off.
I put 4 inch clones out as late as the first week of July and still got 6 ounzes off of the plants

The white widow/big bud cross finishes about late september.I've had as high as 12 ounzes off of 1 plant

Dr.greenthumbs based out of Ottawa has a strain called Iranian Auto flower. It's not really an autoflower. Just a early flowering Indica strain.
150 $ for 11 feminized seeds including free delivery. Done in late August. I never grew it,but people who have claim it's a potent smoke.Should get 4 ounzes off of each plant.

muaythaibanger, I think I'm going to try the Iranian Autos. Does anyone have any advice on soil/watering/nutrients for these plants? Like I said I'm new to this. I have some gallon grow bags, would those be good? Don't really have any compost or anything prepared so I'd have to buy my soil/nutrients. What should I get?
