First time grower, is it time for flowering?

I dont see the signs either. And yes, the flowering process does begin after you turn to 12/12. Sorry if I digressed from your original question a bit..

What I was referencing, was the pre-flower signs of sex that present themselves usually around 4-8weeks of age. You can put your plants into 12/12 whenever you want though, which should have been my main point originally.

The plant needs to be a minimum age before its able to show signs of sexual maturity... Your able to manipulate that via the light schedule, but the plant still needs to reach a certain age (2 day old seedlings cant flower, regardless of the light cycle), and still needs the transition time of a week or so after 12/12 to become sexually mature and begin to actually flower

TL;DR - Flip to 12/12 when your ready. You can wait until your plant tells you it's ready, or you can manipulate the light schedule to force it to be ready. Either way, you know it's in flower/ready to flower/flowering when you see the plant present signs of sex (calyx/pistols or pollen sacks)
You’re awesome dude! I’m going to flip the lights in 4 days when they are 60 days old.
I understand each stage and should have been more clear. I used feminized seeds so I’m hoping for female plants lol

Also, as others have said, the plant will double, or even triple in size in the first few weeks of 12/12. Be conscious of that.

If your in a small space (like me), then you need to look into LST (low stress training) and SCROG (screen of green) techniques to maximize your grow space, without the extra height issues of a big plant.

You should also check and see what the LUX on your lights are putting off. Watts only tells you so much, especially in terms of LEDs. You can download a LUX meter on your phone (I use "lux light meter" app), and use it to gauge the coverage and intensity of your light at varying heights/areas of your grow space.

Seedlings need 5-7k lux
In veg you want 30-50k lux
In flower you want 50-75k lux

The above figures are as measured at the tallest point of your canopy. They will help you figure out optimal height for your lights to maximize yield

Can you see the sex of the plants based off the photos I showed you?
My man im sorry to tell you that if my eyes didnt betray me ur baby is a male,

In red i think it is a pollen sack, but not quite sure, more images will help.

you need to look behind the green hairs, marked in blue.

Those are actually just stipules. Tiny leaves that grow in pairs on the nodes. A lot of plants have em, but marijuana specifically does.

The red one you circled ALMOST looks like a pollen sack, but it's likely just a knot that formed as a result of the leaf attached to that joint being broken/cut off. A pollen sack would be on a tiny stem, extended slightly away from the plant, where what you circled in red is actually integral to that joint, and the stipule is growing out of it.

I wouldnt worry much about it

yes and he should to look under them to determine the sex
either he will find a ball (later will start to extend as you said pre-pollen sack) or little white hairs 2 of them (female preflower)

I agree totally with you, he needs to check and provide more images behind the stipules. its not easy to take pic of but it would be easy to identify.

You’re right that’s a lot of LST I’ve done

I’m a girl :) but yes. I do know how to sex plants but from my understanding I haven’t seen signs yet the plant isn’t sixty days old yet

take a look at my pic, look at blue area, its a green hair right ? under this you will find something so so tiny, that will let you determine the sex of your plants.

and excuse me if you got offended.

No problem! Not offended lol
I appreciate all your feedback.
we are in darkness right until 2 PM EST
Can you show me where I should take pics of exactly? It’s pretty hard to get a clear shot.

This bubblegum auto showed her sex bout a week ago still have on 24 light do i need to switch with autos or will it go into flowering?
Autos aren’t supposed to get 24 hours of light.
but I would switch them if you want, I think they flower automatically though. I’m new to seed I’vealways used clones my dad would give me

Autos can absolutely take 24 hours of light. I'm not sure where this myth started but I've been seeing it come up a lot lately. There are virtually hundreds of grow logs showing people successfully growing autos with 24 hrs of light the whole way through. Some people think you should have a dark period when growing autos in soil because it supposedly helps microbial activity in the soil but I'm not sure on the science there.

And feminized seeds are pretty reliable these days so you should almost definitely have all females. The few times I've seen fem seeds result in males it's usually because they were bought from a shady seedbank.

What do you mean ?
And sorry if this was unclear. I think everyone else already covered it, but what I meant was "no, I can't tell the sex from these pics" but "yes, you can flip to 12/12 whenever you want". And I do mean whenever. I know folks that grow 12/12 from seed.

Ive heard of people flipping to 12/12 just to kick off flowering but switch back to 24 and get good results...you habe any more info on the matter?
