MarsHydro or another blurple LED that is on the cheaper side will work, and will be effective, especially this being your first grow I wouldn't blame you for not wanting to go with an expensive option such as COBs. But, if after a few grows you decide you want to keep going and want better results, and can't afford the heat that HID's create, then it is time to maybe consider investing in higher quality lighting. If you're going to grow long term, COBs will pay for themselves in heat/electricity, as led's such as Marshydro CAN last for years, but will likely not. There is always a trade-off for cheaper lights...there's no such thing as the same quality and reliability of lights that are a quarter or half the price...there is a reason they are so much cheaper. The best cheap led's I've found is the Roleadro 400w COBs on Amazon (not true cobs, simply uses an old cree chip so they can list the word COB on ads), MarsHydro obviously, and Viparspectra...again though, being cheaper will present a trade-off.
