subbed. good luck with your first grow!
Considering the actual "Alaskan Thunderfuck" is called "Matanuska (MATT-IN-oo-Sk-uh) Thunderfuck" and it was completely eradicated in 1997 when the last person within the family who grew it was raided, I'll take some too if you find any of the REAL AK-TF! (MTF)For real! I know exactly how youre feeling. And yes, if you come across Alaskan thunderfuck get it, and get me some lol.
That is so fucked up. That's herbicide or some shit. They should have kept sone seeds or something. Wiping out a strain is akin to sub-species extinction!Considering the actual "Alaskan Thunderfuck" is called "Matanuska (MATT-IN-oo-Sk-uh) Thunderfuck" and it was completely eradicated in 1997 when the last person within the family who grew it was raided, I'll take some too if you find any of the REAL AK-TF! I hadnt really thought about it. Is a 1 gallon too small?I forgot are you transplanting? Id start nutes at transplant
She'll tell you when she needs it... IMO wait til week 3 or 4 to give nutes or until she shows signs of deficiency, typically I wait until the cotyledon leaves shrivel up a bit, as that shows its has used all of the "food supply" that it was "born" with. Maybe repot once roots are poking out the drainage holes.I hadnt really thought about it. Is a 1 gallon too small?
its difficult to see lineage this early... as for when to switch, you can grow from a seed to harvest on 12/12, I personally wait until signs of preflower show (about 6-8 weeks) before switching light cycles, the choice is yours though. Right now for pot size 1 gal should be fine, as vertical space is a concern; mine that are 3 gal bags are pushing 4 1/2' too, I'm getting ready to put them into 5 gallon buckets though. My problem is not vertical its horizontal, I'm trying to run 6 plants in a 2'x3'x7' closet! Once I switched to 12/12 after about 3 weeks they've already doubled, I tie shit down and bend it over but this strain is so resilient training it doesn't even phase it, I saw almost 5 inches of vertical growth in one night woke up to a main cola pressed up against my cool tube. Most growers are going to be opinion/experience based decision makers because there is no set in stone way to grow! Make your garden do what YOU want it to do, how YOU want it done and you will reap the rewards!I guess not when you don't have much space vertically. At this point to me it looks like a sativa dominant hybrid, or possibly a full blown sativa. To me that means it will be tall. Indicas tend to be short. I don't think you'll want to veg very long, I think someone told me 6-8 nodes and you could flip it to 12/12 for force flower. I vegged my first pretty fucking long I think and she was so bushy. After I flipped to flower she stretched over twice her size. The two times I've transplanted the roots have been fucking insane. The bigger the pot the more yield and such. I'm in a 3 gallon smartpot the plant and the pot are at about 4 1/2'
then your flowers will turn towards the light(s) and will be more focused on growing out not up... you may want to put the bigger cfl up top to encourage it "up" and supplement on the sides with smaller cfls like 23 watt... maybe use Y sockets and build a reflector? like this: https://www.rollitup.org/t/diy-cfl-reflector-hood-on-the-cheap.401145/Ive got about 3.5ft in height with the reflector fully raised, but I do have room for 4 maybe 6 pots with only 1 in there. I'm thinking on having the lights either side and rotating her daily when she gets taller so I can use the full 4 foot in height.
It's okSo seeds found in a bag e bought are perfectly fine? I'm having a conversation about whether or not the potency would be affected or anything else wrong with the plant if it wasn't intended to have seeds created in the first place.
