This is my first attempt at growing. Today marks the start of week 4. I am still running my lights at a 20/4 cycle (2-18" fluorescent lights 3000W and 6500W) The soil is miracle grow organic soil. The temp stays between 71-78 degrees F and the humidity is always between 62-68%. :arrow:My problem is that some of my leaves are starting to curl up and also it looks like there are 2 small new plants beginning to grow at the edge of the pots. :leaf:Please review this information and my pictures and tell me what you think is happening to my grow.

glad to know everything looks okay, since this is my first grow i have really been stressing out. I will post a new pic next week which will be the end of week 4. Also, any ideas of whether i should wait a week or two (after week 4) before switching the lights over to 12/12 or should i just do it at the end of week 4?

here are the pics of the little sprouts popping up... should i remove them or just see what happens?
That highly resembles a common weed found in most gardens. As in, like a weed, not weed. I'd go ahead and pluck it out, if you choose not to though nothing bad will happen. From my experience those little weeds grow maybe 1in high and never get much bigger.

Okay so it is now the end of week 4 and i have switched the lights from 20/4 to 16/8. A couple tips turned brown but they were almost touching the light so i raised the light to be 5" away. Some of the top leave tips are begining to become very yellow, what is causing this?

why are you switching from 20/4 to 16/.if you are wanting to flower it should be 12/12... yellowing is caused from start of heat stress, over watering, nute deffiantcy..

i switched to 16/8 for a week before i go to 12/12 because i was worried that the extreme difference in light would hurt the plants

ok from what i read from other rplys no one told you about the curling of the leaves, that maybe lack of water and nutes, the bigger your plant gets the more water it needs, if does'nt get enough water it will start taking the reserves from the leaves, thats my opinion, hope that helps.
