This is my first grow and I am on day 42 since planting the germinated seed. i started it in a miracle grow soil that was said to encourage seeds to sprout, using 2-3 of the small cfl's, 26 watt i believe. Using a cycle of 24/0. This plant has been through a lot, including either mild nute burn, or too much light stress, maybe both. When the plant outgrew it's first pot I transplanted it into a 5 gallon bucket using Biochar?? Organic mix. It's said to help balance pH. The tips of the leaves no longer have yellow and the plant is around 10-12" tall. I had to move and until I got my light set up I was using only a bedroom window for the plant to get sunlight. I am now using a 150w 2700k cfl for flowering. Im going to start the 12/12 cycle today. Aside from a little rabbit shit I haven't given it any nutrients, only well water or spring water. I tried a supercropping technique and split my stem, but after only a few hours the plant wasn't even leaning over anymore, but standing straight up! And it has stood up straight every day since. Needless to say when I read the split could be taped I immediately did just that. The first set of true leaves wilted to the point that they fell off with very little effort, but other than that all the leave sets look fine. These plants are resilient to say the least. The only nute I plan on using for flowering is pure sorghum mixed with the water. I would have questions but I'm not sure what to ask. Just hoping someone will read this and maybe start a conversation, maybe I can learn something. Success or failure I plan to keep trying until I get it right.
