first time grower question - can you alternate between sun and indoor lights?

I was just wondering if you can say have the plant up either by the window or outside during the day (when you are sure things are safe) and then alternately take it in under say compact compact fluorescents in the basement when people are over

will that traumatize it?

yeah thats totally fine to do and wont harm the plant at all, use as much sun light as you can
