First Time Grower... REAL LOW BUDGET but need tips badly.... Help?

I didn't realise you were doing such a small grow what size pots u finishing in? If they're both meant to be autos I'd start with one tent lights on 18/6 and u should be able to tell if one isn't auto, if it isn't then be ready to get another one.. I'm still a bit of a newbie myself but have done an auto grow and have some experience with them.. Not sure what lights to use for such a small space but i saw someone else advise u on lights.. If you get the light mix soil u won't have to give them nutes for 3 weeks AUTOS DON'T LIKE TOO MUCH NUTES just remember that less is more I burnt my plants a little bit towards the end by trying to add boost.. I used dutch pro a+b grow and bloom. U get an a + b bottle and just add equal amounts. I had them in light mix soil for 3 weeks then started them with 1/3 ml grow nutes per litre and gradually built it up to 1ml per litre over 3 weeks giving nutes every other watering, then started bloom nutes just under 1ml per litre and slowly raised it up by about 1ml per week.. Autos are pretty strong plants so under feeding of nutes will be fine if u do see yellow leaves which i didn't u can raise nutes slightly. Just the main thing is don't give too much the leaves will burn and turn a browny colour.. You might want to get some cal mag too ( calcium magnesium) sometimes autos get cal mag deficiencies so you want to be ready for it if it happens.

There are also things u can mix with the soil to prevent cal mag deficiency like dolomite lime.

As a rule of thumb, education makes everything cheaper.

Here u go buddy, i have 2 small fans from wal-mart, cost me 5 bucks for each, as an intake and exhaust, circulates the air fine in my small tent but if odor is an issue id look into getting an inline fan and a carbon scrubber or DIY scrubber to save a few pennies.

your set up looks sweet! thats exactly what i want.... how much all in all did that cost? and im thinking of ways to get around smell, bleaching outside and pouring some petrol for strong smells to distract you know but if i have to buy a carbon filter then so be it

I mean im new to this so once ive finished this first batch and learned from mistakes im bound to make then it will only get better, knowledge is key

5 gallons? That's like 20 litres right? I don't think you'll fit them in that tiny little tent? Also with the dutch pro once you get up to 2ml a litre gradually just keep it there no need to give more.

I bought shit loads of neutradol air fresheners from the pound shop if u run a small fan over the top of one it will make it work even better

Tent was 72$, bulbs were 10$ each for 42w cfl 2700k but u could definitely get em cheaper at wal mart or online, i got them at my local home depot. The 4 way splitter was 8$ The timer was about 6$ the fans were 5$ each, and the heat lamps were given to me from a friend so idk how much those cost but i cant imagine them being over 20$ all in all i probably spent somewhere around 150 usd for everything, and yea man definitely keep me posted on your grow id love to know how everything is going! And ozium works wonders for odors, i use it in my car for when i smoke and u would never kno i just lit up a fat doobie after a quick spray of ozium. I also heard of people stuffing dryer sheets into ducting to reduce smell.

And if ur growing auto's theres really no need to go any bigger than a 3gal pot for most auto strains.

never even heard of ozium, and wow thats cheap considering the amount of gear needed isnt it! i mean im home from work now and ive got one lit and replying just feels like a task now haha
