First time grower. Rushed into it growing

This is my first grow. I'm in a 3x3 tent. Using a 600w vivosun light. I'm using miracle-gro soil. I know I know, I shouldn't use that but I rushed into the process and didn't do research before starting. I'm using fox farm trio for my feeds. I have no idea the age of the plants cuz I didn't start a journal but I will with my next grow. I did get a late start on feedings as I had to wait for amazon to deliver the package. So they were small, yellow and barely any leaves. But I think they are about 1 1/2 months and are doing great so far. I have bought coco coir for my next grow, and also got dynomyco for transplant20201127_023015.jpg

Hey man, looking good imo. Im also on my first grow. What I assumed would be a smooth ride has felt more like learning to ride a bike. Everytime I think im getting the hang of things I eat shit and have to pick myself up, assess the damage and get back on the bike or quit. But I know if I keep going eventually Ill be able to grow like its second nature, same with learning to ride a bike.
Ive found this forum to be a blessing and a curse as there is an abundance of information but also some very opinionated styles of growing that tend to conflict. I think all you can do is try things for yourself and see what works.
I have 5 plants in my 4x4 and its been quite a ride. Ive lost power, run out of nutes, starting using bottled nutes and switched back to top dress. To be honest I have no idea what Im doing and each day is a struggle to stay the course or switch things up. If i can get to harvest on round 1 Ill be able to go into grow 2 that much more experienced.
Im not a patient man but growing cannabis and especially trying to understand HOW to grow cannabis is helping me work through that. There is no substitute for time with this hobby and you cannot fake it.
I did the same as you when you say you rushed in. I got a tent, 2 sf2000 leds and 2 bags of fox farm ocean forest. I had plants coming out of the ground before I knew a damn thing about growing outside of houseplants. Ive paid for it but all my plants are still here and are switching to flowering this week. I have fallen victim to drunken forum creeping and amazon purchases I didnt need but If i can get to the end itll be worth it. My plants have not had the easiest life but they are still here. Stay the course and no matter the outcome you'll be 150% better and more knowledgeable next time. At least that's the plan.

Pick a bible and make it your go to.
The trick is to stay at least a month ahead of your grow in reading and knowledge. Read and reread sections on where you are now and what comes next.

Discussions in the forum should mostly consist of showing pics to help arrive at diagnoses for problems. Asking someone how to grow or how to do something is dangerous for the obvious reasons.

GWE is my bible. It gets everything right except lighting where its outdated.

When asking for help do not look for the answers you expect. Listen to multiple answers and carefully think if you really know the answer or want more opinions.

My rule is, be almost sure, before doing anything.

There are 2 types of growers...some plant seeds and others read, lol. I read for 6 months and it helped tremendously. Obsession for a run or 2 does help imo!

The plants have DNA and want to grow. Your job is just to help them do so. Dont think of it as more than a plant because of its magical bounty. Think about trees and bushes growing outside and things will make more sense.

Do bushes get watered every day? Do they get sun, wind, rain? Do they get cold and hot? Most of the answers are in our heads, but learning to REALLY pay attention and understand the process is what everybody means when they say "the plants will tell you."

If a tree changes colors in Fall, is that normal? If a tree goes brown and loses its leaves in Summer, is it sick or dying?

See to me the funny part is how much we know, but havent pieced together because our lives are no longer one with nature. We live in artificial environments and have to now recall what life really is!

You will, sooner or later, feel a connection to your plants. Its quite a feeling imo.

Update: I will be transplanting both plants to 3 gallons fabric pots, they have finally arrived. Also I received my 4x4 tent and will be moving them there. And allow another 3 plants to grow in veg in the 3x3. All I have left is coco coir left to use and I'm running soil right now. So I may have to switch it up, adjust the nutrients, and PH for feedings and hope for the best. Dynomyco should help with this process. More updates to come.

I would stick to soil, coco is going to get you frustrated quickly if you don't stay ontop of it

I didn't use the coco. I bought More soil. Next grow ill grow only 1 plant in coco and the rest in soil. This way I can learn to grow in coco. If I can't handle it then I'll just use soil. I do like the less watering with coco. I spend most the the day at work.

that's very good idea. I always have a tester of some form
