First Time Grower, Sexing Help!

Hi guys,

It's my first ever post in this forum and I'd like to thank you all for the amazing information about growing. I couldn't do it without you guys!

I've been growing some bagseeds, don't know the exact strain but probably some indica. After 15 days of 24 hours lightning, its been 3 days into the 12/12 and fingers crossed waiting for the gender signs. I've seen something today on few plants and I'd be happy if you guys could help me to determine the gender of these beauties. Here are some photos of the plants and overall setup. All your help is deeply appreciated!

Thank You!!!!

I'd still say a little young to tell yet, keep an eye out for 2 little hair looking things at the internodes..

but next time if you wanna be sure your getting a female you can always invest in fem'd seeds.. But be careful because if its not a stable strain then they can end up being hermis if they are stressed during growth.. Just keep your lights right and stress to a min and you should be fine

Yeah, I already have some white widow fem seeds but as it is my first grow, I didn't want them to be the victims of an inexperienced grower. How long do you think should I have to wait for these to give gender?

id say to early but you have some nice inner nodal growth goin on. they will show in time, usually 3 weeks to a month with most ;)

sometimes you can never tell and have to clone it and flower it to find out but by at least a month old if she (hopefully) is gonna show you should see by then

This is what you will see if she is female

Hey Baronstein,

I agree with those guys too early to tell, give it a couple of weeks and update us again and we should be able to tell.
As max said look out for those white hairs, if you see them you congratz its a female haha, but if you see like balls/sacks then unfortunately its male.
But like I said keep us posted :)

Any seed from a "non stable" strain which has not had hermaphroditic tendencies bred out will have a higher possibility of developing the trait.

The fact that it is a female seed doesn't make it more likely to "herm" than a regular seed from the same strain.

I also doubt the ability to "turn a plant" due to stress. They are either going to display the trait or not. When they do, we think back and try to attribute it to that time we had a little nute burn or a small light leak. Heavy stress maybe, but not your everyday stuff. No need to walk on eggshells.

OP.

Plants are too young to sex. What you are taking pics of are growth shoots and stipules, common on both sexes. The stigma (hairs) will emerge from those areas when the plant is ready to flower. If I change the light schedule before preflowers show, it usually takes about a week before I see the stigma.

No, wait about another month. dont rush, it's a plant. Consider how long that tree has been outside your window...you get the idea.

Yeah, you're right. Thank you guys, its just, you know, when it is your first grow you get excited and rush things :) I got my ph meter only a day ago, luckily the water I was giving the whole time just had the perfect ph of 6.3. I was lucky.
