First time grower using coco

Thanks man. I would say in my limited experience so far it is definitely better to give less nutes than you think you should. I use an eye dropper to measure them into the feed water now. No kidding. The less I give them the better they look. The ones with the worst burn I just flushed and gave no new nutes to. It's a good learning experience to see how long it takes the plants to react - The newer, bigger leaves in my most recent pictures also have a slight burn from the toxic remnants still in the soil. The oldest leaves are hurt, a horrible reminder of what not to do.

yeah I am still trying to get it all figured out.....right now I am back to tap water. I just bought a humidifier today. I am trying to figure out the best way to get some humidity in my tent.

Yeah, only one of my dogs is a pothead. He barks at you if you don't exhale in his direction. The other one is scared of smoke. But if I had to guess which one is the murderer I would say the one that is usually scared because she's mischievous.

can I put a humidifier behind my 4.5in axial fan that is blowing into my tent or could that affect the motor??

I am noticing that my plants are growing rather quickly now.....maybe the closeness of the light had something to do with it. Either way I will stick to a water only diet until my plants look a little stronger

Good news, bk. Sounds like you and I are in the same boat. Only thing is since I have cut way down on nutes my plants have slowed in growth a bit.

I think I have another theory what was happening to my plants. Me being a newbie, I simply had no idea when it was time to transplant my plants. I decided to transplant all my plants into 3 gallon grow bags today so me and my buddy went down to Home Depot and picked up a a bag of Miracle Gro organic soil and some perlite as I wanted to transplant one of the plants already in soil, into soil. I also wanted to try putting one of my other plants in soil just to see if there is a difference.

As we pulled the first plant out of the solo cups, I quickly began to understand what I was dealing with...The roots were at the bottom wrapping around big time......every single one of my plants needed a serious transplant.

So right now I have 3 in straight coco, two in a coco / soil / perlite mix and one in soil / perlite.

I am hoping this makes them happy. Will post pics later

I also picked up a light / moisture / PH reader that should help me breathe easier throughout this process.....

In a way I am kind of glad I've ran into these problems. I am learning a lot from this first grow.
