First Time Growers Hint

I see a lot of first time growers looking for advise on high yields or super quality which their is nothing wrong with. However, my humble advise is to look at the big picture, growing is only half or less of the process. Curing is a very important step in producing quality medicine, and I see many first timers overlook this until it comes to harvest and then it's "what do I do now?' Have a solid plan for your curing process well before it comes time to do so. Do some research on what works and what doesn't, trust the old saying, "Proper planning prevents poor performance." There is a wealth of information on this site by some very knowledgeable growers that can help you with this. Take advantage of it- or your first time grow can become your first time "Oh No!"
Peace

Need some direction on where to start my research. Seems to be a lot of information on drying and curing. Not sure which is the simplest and most tried and true method. Some say just throw the buds in a box and rotate daily. Others say use dry ice.
Can’t I just han my plants in a closet with a fan and that’s it?
How much strong of an aroma should I expect the buds to have? I live in an apartment building. Will my neighbors smell it?

DRY ICE??! oh my......
Here's a couple of pointers ...
1. Dont harvest early... throw pics up before chop and we will tell you when you can take it down. 99% of newbies want to take it down a month or more too early.
2. Slow drying is the best. There should never be a fan blowing directly on the buds. You should have air flow but just enough to circulate the air. If you dry them out too fast the smoke will be harsh and it will lose its smell and if anything at all will smell like hay.
3. Try to aim for a week to 2 week hang dry before you jar up. Get a hygrometer (they are cheap on amazon) throw it in your jars and aim for a 62-55% humidity.
