first time happened. advice please

A plant out grew the pot. Few roots are coming out of the bottom. Need to do something before they get to long. And it is flowering right now. I knew there was a reason it was budding and still pre-flowering.

should i transplant to bigger pot.. and how do i do it the most gentle way so no stress is caused?

i tried a smaller pot to see if i could do it.. learned my lesson.

I've never been in that situation but if I were you id buy some 5 gallon nursery buckets and grow them in there.
Or you could even cut the 5 gallon bucket and make it a 3-4 gallon bucket that fits your needs more.
